It's also what the TV networks wanted, and that's why it's happening.

Some adds like Texas and Missouri(St. Louis is a highly populated city and I would guess they cheer for Mizzou) make sense money wise.

Top seed hosts the title game

Um..before the CFP? Are you insane? Injuries and fatigue for what....the CFP committee cares more about record than your SOS..so why screw up NC chances?

9 games?? Why????? Plus the now irrelevant SEC Championship game makes 10 if you're good. I never understood the Texas A&M & Missouri add, much less Texas and Oklahoma. We are gonna kill ourselves and cost the SEC championships in the long run. Don't believe me?? Ask Kirby Smart after the SEC Championship game last year. The Big 10 is laughing at us today.

If ya scared, just say it.

There never was an SEC , it was always three junior colleges teams and and Vandy, kentucky, Ole miss, miss st. And a now self proven loser idiot in Auburn and Saban kicking all their asses with two different teams.

While we are at it, how bout we toss Arkansas and South Carolina as well, and bring back Tulane and Sewanee. Tradition is tradition after all.

Six game SEC schedules are tradition too.

And while we are at it....all Southern white boy teams who talk with southern accents and play in leather helmets is "tradition" as well. Bring that back.

Oh, and restore...... Alabama Polytech and the Mississippi A&M Maroons like God intended.

Because this isn't applied evenly. Eight conference games allows schools such as UF, UGa & SC to have quality permanent OOC opponents, *and* OOC scheduling. SC has played UNC, NC State, VA Tech, and Miami in the regular season all within an 8 year window. UGA has done the same with Notre Dame, Az State, etc. UF has gotten Miami back on the schedule.

I'd much rather keep the Miamis and NC States on the schedule (because they're interesting and fun) than another conference game that only serves to further beat the conference to a pulp.

The SEC requiring schools to go out of conference for a quality opponent is a good thing, but dammit, it shouldn't have been required. Schools should have wanted quality OOC play during the season as it was.

Did your parents know you were retarded when you were born or did they have to do some tests first?

Why not? You can make playoffs with 2 losses. 9 games comes with much better schedules and 2 mulligans.

I agree with you..AFC vs NFC analogy...

However, I would take Oklahoma State ahead of Texas Tech. TT adds nothing and OSU adds another same state rivalry which is usually competitive to watch. My two cents...
