Be honest, do you think now that Jimbo left for a great opportunity or to get away from a shite show he saw coming?

I honestly believe Jimbo mentally checked out at FSU the day LSU courted him. I've heard rumors that he agreed to become the LSU HC, but the LSU higher ups put a stop to it due to Louisiana's financial trouble at the time. Can you imagine the media outrage had LSU given millions to a coach while the state faced the possibility of shutting down a school or two?

He lost 35-3 to Boston College last year. He was 5-6 when he departed.

Willie has the women OVAH at A&M for his players, his ghetto uniforms ,and the Total lack of discipline plan working for his program. 8-4 and 9-3 records will be the good ole days going forward.

Jimbo was like Urban. Both saw the shiteshow coming and baled on their respective teams.

I tend to agree with this. He was already mentally gone, and once A&M threw the money at him he was never turning back.

I grew up an FSU fan and even I think this school deserves every shitty thing that happens to them.

I also believe that Jimbo was just tired of being at FSU. I know some large FSU donators and a lot of the money was tired of Jimbo. He knew it too.

Poor FSU. Jimbo ran that program into the ground by winning a NC and having a string of 10-win seasons. He was so bad, LSU didn't want him....twice.

Now, poor Aggy. They are $75 million in and stuck with a guy that neither FSU nor LSU (twice) wanted.

The damn lies we LSU fans tell ourselves is the reason we have a shrimpboat captain at the helm.

Fsu is about to learn that all programs have down periods, some longer than others.
Get your kicks in now while they are down they will be back one day.

I have no sympathy for FSU. This program was dismantling, and is why Jimbo left.

FSU had a pretty long down period under Bowden. If FSU didn't push Bowden out he would probably still be coaching and we'd be putting up years like Jimbo last year.

FSU had their time. Their time is over.
first back to back season opener losses since '89-'90. Also, first time since 1975 that both Miami and Fsu lost on opening weekend.

They are going to regret that. NC winning coaches do not grow on trees.

I am not sure they are.

Jimbo is very overrated, IMO. Clemson has taken over the ACC. They are far ahead of FSU. That just shouldn't happen with the athletes in FSU's yard. The FSU OL has been sub-par for a few years now. The last few years FSU has not had a good football program.

ETA I will say this....I think FSU could have gotten a better HC than they did.

One thing hurting FSU, they are hurting financially. Several years ago they let quite a few asst. coaches go in non-revenue generating sports just to save money.

This argument that FSU should win because they recruit well seems to be getting all the air let out of it.

Jimbo recruited well and went 83-13. Now without him they have one of their worst home losses in recent memory. Recruiting matters, but coaching does too. Otherwise, Willie T just keeps the gravy chain moving.

Jimbo is the reason the 'Noles suck this year..They had to add a Rent a win ULM to get at 6-6 last year..and the program was on a downward spiral..

Aggie pays $75 Million in hopes of buying a win against us- and then has the nerve to say THEY feel sorry for FSU???

They won't all be like NW State.
