Seemed like a good kid from a good family in interviews. He was a first-year starter, and I thought he handled himself pretty well this season. I didn't see the greatest weapons or offensive design, and he was constantly dealing with bad snaps.

He’s done nothing to deserve hate. Just classic spoiled Gumps lashing out after a loss.

He had a good season and led a slightly-undermanned Alabama offense to 12 wins, three of which were over top 15 teams. That's a good season for a first-year starter in my book

Coming out with that “LANK” merch and acting like a perennial victim is a microcosm of the narcissism destroying college football today.

That’s like playing the heel in wrestling and wondering why people don’t like you.

He plays hard and he fought hard all season. That was a team loss yesterday. No, he didn’t play particularly well, but there were other problems, too. Alabama didn’t play well up front on either side of the ball, the linebackers and secondary got confused in coverage multiple times, etc. Michigan also made the plays in the most crucial moments, and they deserve all of the credit in the world for that.

That’s just the way it goes sometimes. I’m sure Alabama will do everything they can to learn from it and get better.

I've seen a lot more fans of other teams hating on him today than Bama fans. I think that's mostly trolling or just hating on Bama. Which I get.

He's definitely a good young man. But he has to get better as a QB and learn. That's not a hate thing at all, that's just being objective.

I hear you, but I think that is just guys out making money. In today's college football, that's everywhere. I was much more disgusted by Michigan's QB claiming UM "overcame adversity" this season, the adversity being getting caught cheating.

He kind of asked for it at the end of the season. He got a little too big for his britches. It started with saying he deserved the Heisman after beating Auburn, then his LANK merchandise, and then calling out his former OC. People enjoy seeing others fail when they get cocky.

slightly-undermanned Alabama offense

Can someone explain to me how this narrative has been created and pushed this season?

Their entire offense is largely comprised of top 100 players. I'd love to have that level of being "undermanned." Seems like they have had more of a player development issue than a personnel issue. Do they have anyone in their 2-deep on offense who wasn't a 4 star or better?

Plenty of teams would be happy to have him at quarterback.

Agree with this 100%. That loss was hardly all on Milroe, and you nailed the other deficiencies. But he can't run backward on sacks, has to protect the ball better, can't slide 3 or 4 yards short of a 1st down on 3rd down in a playoff game, and can't just run into a brick wall on the last play of the game. At least bounce it outside and try to see if that works. What he did by diving into that pile 3 yards short of the goal line was no different than taking a knee.

It isn't hate to point out his deficiencies. He can't throw a slant, curl, stick, swing pass. He also can't anticipate what the defense is going to do. All things you like your qb to be able to do.

"Give me the Heisman". He's a good athlete and a below average qb. If Bama had an oline worth a damn preseason, I don't see how Simpson isn't the starter.

I don’t hate him, he’s just a bad QB. But I can’t hate anyone who loses 2 games for Bama, even if he’s infected with Tide AIDS

What was the deal there? Was he that scared of the Michigan DL??

Saban's the kind of guy that practices til he gets it right, then practices until he cant get it wrong.
I just don't understand how a D-1 starting center at Alabama of all places could possibly mess up a snap yet alone yesterday's performance

Found another idiot, go check the Bama board because it's full of them today. How many slants did we even run last night? I didnt see any. He's completed all of the others multiple times all year. How about Rees calling multiple plays where he has to throw the flat route into the boundary for a 1 yard gain instead of moving the pocket to the field to run that play?

Milroe didnt play his best last night but neither did any of our players or coaches besides our special teams.
