So many people are setting themselves up for disaster. It is just weird.

He was lucky to have a first round transfer QB and 2 first round WR, and play in a down conference, and still managed to lose 3-4 games
Why bring Brian Kelly into this?

They're never going to be bad.
Will they have some lean years? Sure, but they're never going to be A & M, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Miss St or Arkansas.

I do to…they still have a lot of talent and a proven successful coach.

let's not pretend Bama will lose its enormous history of winning championships. Kids will still want to play for Bama in the future.
Some kids will, but the “Brand” was Saban…and ”He gone.” Kids in Class of ‘25 were in 8th grade when Tide won the COVID Natty. And they were in 5th grade when the ‘18 Natty was played. The pull is not near what it once was.

8-4 or 9-3. Too much talent and institutional inertia for them to drop off TOO far in DeBoer's first year.

Pat Dye had a 69% winning percentage, 4 SEC titles, and zero national championships at Auburn. Turberville had a 68% winning percentage, 1 SEC title, and zero national championships at Auburn. I just can’t imagine how hard it would be to follow behind such greatness.

Deboer is probably a better coach than Saban
Y'all are so delusional. You have no idea how bad this fricking guy is you hired. He got lucky over and over at UW. He was lucky to inherit a first round QB and 2 first round WR, and play in a bad conference, and still almost managed to lose 3-4 games. He's not only a poor sideline coach, he is about the worst fit you could have hired. He brings about 15 coaches from small town Nebraska to try to recruit the Deep South? Please. He runs off Sabans shadow staff, runs off the best DB coach you had, runs off a 5 star QB because he's dragging his 3 star backup QB with him... ok wow I'm done. I guess that was a rant
I would be worried about Kelly at LSU. What he did last year wasn't good on defense. Then he had to steal 3 defensive coaches from Drinkwitz that actually lost a game to LSU. I never did like Kelly because he just was not able to win a championship at Notre Dame and currently 0 championships at LSU so far.

THey'll be over .500 for sure. 9 games? That's going to be tough.

I can see lsu being ecstatic that their Saban nightmare is over, but barn? They didn't get better when Saban retired.

Agreed
They might not be the version of good Bama fans have become accustomed to but they'll be pretty good
