I understand factors like an asset bubble collapse in the 1990s, deflation, loose monetary policy, etc. but no society can thrive that’s rapidly aging demographically. South Korea and Japan are done. A society of old people isn’t a future.

Who cares? The World Cup is a huge event. For some people it’s like the Olympics. How often do people watch most events at the Olympics? Not often. People just enjoy big World Wide type events.
