The thing is these commitments are only year to year so why not take a shot on LSU? He will likely get immediate playing time.

If LSU wasn’t getting Lane it would have been a big disappointment if we hired Sumrall. I don’t think that would have happened anyway.

Why do these guys with no chance say things like this?
He is a perfect example of needing to take advantage of opportunities when your stock is high. He will likely be fired from ASU in a few years. They will have no loyalty to him if he stops winning and it’s too hard to sustain success there.
