The hype going into the 2025 seasons when anyone with even remedial football knowledge could tell that that team was going to suck, primarily because of Napier’s playcalling.

ETA:
He wasn't getting a better offer than that and Florida is good program with great in-state talent. While expectations are high, he could've gone somewhere without the advantages and without this much money and failed just as easily.

Some of our fans feel snakebit, and why wouldn't they? We haven't been a top program in the SEC for 15 years now.
We should be much improved as should Auburn. I think both teams have a shot to go around 8-4 this season. The SEC is so competitive though, so it's hard to say.

We have a brand-new $85 million football facility, a $15 million indoor practice facility, and we're investing $1.45 billion into The Swamp.
The problem is, you can't change people's minds when they're already convinced our program is still operating with 2011-level investments. Many have already made up their minds, regardless of what's happening today.

I hunted ducks with his strength and conditioning coach in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in 2006. He was a Green Beret at the time.
On his way to meet us at camp, he said he went to buy a hunting license but they wouldn't sell him one because he didn't have a hunter safety card in Colorado.

Florida is more on par with a South Carolina type program. It’s no coincidence that the SEC paired UF with Kentucky and South Carolina as permanent yearly rivals.
When sumrall was hired I went to the football board on rupps rafters to see what Kentucky fans had to say as Sumrall was an alumni.
One of them commented that they felt bad for Jon for taking this job because he will have Bama/LSU/UGA expectations with South Carolina level resources and support and even went as far to say that Florida was arguably the worst job in the SEC. Miss State is a tough job but the fans and admin have matching expectations, while Florida has high expectations with Miss State level admin and boosters.

If you can't win at Florida, how could you win at Georgia?
Historically we’ve only had 2 coaches achieve true success, both of them hall of famers.
One of them, urban, is the only coach to win multiple titles and win titles at multiple programs in the 21st century.
Spurrier won 1 title, and I feel like him and Kirby are more comparable in terms of background (coaching at their alma mater and raising the standards there). Difference between them is spurrier was an X’s and O’s Genius who did more with less while Kirby, who is a great x and o’s coach in his own right, really succeeded by his recruiting acumen and stacking talent.
UGA gave him the infrastructure and support to do that, he never would’ve gotten that at UF and would’ve had a mark Richt ceiling and a Dan Mullen floor at Florida.

Stopped reading there. Ask Kentucky fans on here about Rupp's Rafters. That's like getting your Kentucky info from Gatorcountry. Also I believe the football board is called Wildcat Lair. RR is for basketball.
