Are people able to donate to the MRT to help with the cost of supplies?

No worries Governor Meemaw will take care of it after her afternoon nap.

Oh, I know I’ll get downvotes for the fact I mentioned its killing the southern part of Alabama right now but we are all SEC.
You didn’t, I didn’t think you would. When it comes to this type of stuff we reach out and help our fellow people. I remember all the LSU and Auburn fans and fans of other teams in Tuscaloosa helping after the tornado.
We shite talk here and it’s in fun. But when it comes to this we are there for other people.

We might fight amongst ourselves over the fun stuff in life, but when we need each other in times like this, we all pull together! Prayers are sent to all people who are suffering today and will be for days to come.
It is strange that there is one downvote, how do you downvote a post about asking for prayers for people fighting for their lives? What a loser, probably kicks puppies too!

We’ve never taken donations except locals who knew we were going and even then it’s like cases of water etc. We never take money. Its out of pocket and we prefer it that way.
The reason being we don’t want to be seen as making money off a bad situation. But yes, we take food and water or things like that. Hell, during the Louisiana ordeal, a few people including several of us hit the dollar tree for cheese & peanut butter crackers and candy for children just to have enough stuff to spread around.
Besides its light weight and small packaged. This is why we started with Tuna & Crackers and Ck Salad & crackers. Can pack so much in tiny space. It’s the bottled waters that take up so much space but its the biggest thing needed. But thank you for asking, that was very nice of you.

So far, at least in Southeast Alabama, its not as bad as Michael. Can't speak for Mobile and Gulfshores though.

I lived in downtown Denham Springs for the 2016 flood, I still live there now but in flood zone x. I lost everything I owned minus what I could put in the top of closets. I just wanted to thank you and everyone else for all that was done for me, my family and friends, and every single person that was effected by that tragedy. And my thoughts and prayers go out for everyone effected by Sally.

Post some photos if you get a chance. I have family east of you in Dothan, Alabama and am a bit concerned with the precipitation more than anything else. The flat lands along the Gulf coast tend to flood with heavy rains like what we see coming.

A lot of photos if you start at the end (currently 281 pages) and work backwards here.
Might also be a good place to ask if anyone has any info.

I'm old. Used to spend Spring and early summer in Gulf Shores. Only buildings were shacks on poles, plywood walls, no insulation, ceiling fans, no A/C. Owners knew they would get blown away every ~10 years. Minimal cost to rebuild.
Compare that to now. huge Condominiums, Hotels, and restaurants, all trying to get closer to the water. It was better in the 50's and early 60's when the white beach was the main attraction

Prayers for all affected by the storm. Please be safe and careful!
Watch out for flood waters, down power lines and bridges that might fail.
We need all of you Alabamans to spar with all season! :sec:

I'm sorry man. Really getting tired of seeing the gulf coast destroyed by these storms.
