We’re all in total support of our brethren in the gulf states when it’s hurricane time. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody.

Governor DeSantis said the 3- mile bridge in Pensacola bay is out. Again.

It's like we were married to Sally and now going through a bitter divorce. She's taking the house and car and everything else we hold dear.

My sister lives in Robertsdale. They just put in a 6k privacy fence and lost a large portion of it, their carport, and a pecan tree this AM.

But, she was proud to report the nephews finally have a pool, so there is that.

I live in Mobile. I have been through many hurricanes. This one was worse for Mobile than expected. Not much rain but the winds were much stronger than predicted. So many trees down throughout the city. 2-300 year oaks included. Like many said, slow movement keeled the winds blowing 2-3 times longer than most hurricanes. Still about 125,000 in Mobile without power. Some may not get power for a week to 10 days.

Here we are 2 Days removed from the storm. We were lucky and just ended up with a fence down and lots of debris but lots of friends weren’t so lucky. Having grown up in Mobile, we don’t lose a lot of sleep over a cat 1 or 2 bc they usually aren’t much to worry about. This one is like no category 2 I’ve ever experienced. Trees down that have been uprooted from the soaked ground or just snapped in half. Giant power poles snapped in half. Still without power bc of all of the trees down and we didn’t get it nearly as bad as Baldwin county. Thank you for all of the well wishes.
