This is a much better fit for Auburn than Lane was. He could easily have Gus Malzahn like success there. I wonder if Auburn will make him abandon Twitter. It's consistently his downfall.

Don’t like it. I’m not going to turn on Auburn, but I don’t like the hire. Freeze isn’t a good enough coach to make up for his baggage, and I would’ve preferred an untested up-and-comer over him.

Solid hire. Should win some games here + occasional upset wins... this cycle was very underwhelming (not many good coaches out there). Apparently, big-money boosters promised lots of $NIL should they get their way this time...
