Probably because our QB inspires the same excitement as an AIDS test.

Is Arnett the first Hispanic head coach in the SEC?

If you switch the paragraph order it reads a lot better.

Like he destroyed it when he hired Mike Leach?
This. I think Cohen did a B to B+ job at State. Sure, he brought us Moorhead. But he also brought us Leach, Lemonis, and our first baseball Natty.

Graham Harrell at WVU is probably a candidate.
It makes sense on the surface. Coached by Leach himself. Runs a modernized air raid offense (I think?).
Honestly, WV flew so far under the radar this year that I don't know much about him. Can anyone enlighten me?

What’s preventing Arnett from hiring an OC who runs the same or similar system as Leach?
Nothing.

Offensive coordinator
American football coach position
An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense. Generally, along with the defensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator, this coach represents the second level of coaching structure after the head coach.

Some fans won't like the hasty hire, but it had to be done to preserve this recruiting class and prevent mass transfers.
Now the OC hire...that's the big one. Fingers crossed we nail it.

They should go after Dykes.
Why would he come to our meat grinder of a conference when his current path to the playoff is so much easier (esp w/ TU & OU leaving soon)?

Arnett is legit.
I think you roll with him.
If I was a betting man, I'd say he gets the job.

Give Patterson a five year deal and I think you'll be happy with the results long term.
I'm hesitant about hiring a coach who was a victim of a player mutiny.

I would have an interim for next season. You will have a better shot at getting a decent coach then.
Ask Arkansas how well that works. And that was before the transfer portal.

Would state fans take back Dan Mullen? He's available.
Simply put: frick no. Mf somehow got even worse at recruiting when he went to UF. I'm also not into taking back exes that have spurned us. I don't blame him for leaving, but we need to have a little dignity as an institution.

There are a lot of good suggestions here, especially Gary Patterson and Dana Holgorsen.
I don't really want either, but I'd take Patterson. I'd much rather get someone younger and on the rise. Someone like Garrett Riley at TCU.

It's a legit thread. Being devastated doesn't preclude us from speculating on the future of our program.

I'm disturbed by the amount of y'all that think Dana H would be a good hire.
