Who cares? I mean, LSU is doing what LSU is doing.

"Yeah, but...he has the most expensive coaching staff in football!" Like that makes LSU a 4 loss team?

"Alabama only wins because they have great players!"
"LSU wins because they have the highest paid staff!"

Okay. SO?

Same way Bama would be without the most expensive players in CFB.

Well, except Orgeron has a game this week.

LSU will inevitably win the SEC again in 2020. As Myles Brennan, who is going to be a four-year redshirt junior starter, does have quite a bit of experience. Not saying he is going to be as good as Joe Burrow, but Brennan does have one of the best arms in the SEC and will inevitably be one of the top if not the best QB in the SEC next season.

Furthermore, both the receiver and running back corp in 2020 will not only be the most elite in the SEC, but also the most elite in the country. While the offensive line should be even better than in 2019.

On the defensive side of the football, both the front seven and the defensive backfield will both be elite.

Well, I hope you're right about all this, but I'm convinced you're not. Our offensive line is the biggest question mark. It could be elite if all of those juniors return. It could be inept if they all leave. More than likely it will be somewhere in between.

Our defensive front seven will almost certainly be worse. We lose two seniors, and Tyler Shelvin will almost certainly leave. Glen Logan is a possibility, but I think he returns. Our defensive line next year would be Ika, Farrell and Logan. This is a small step back from 2019. But where we really take a hit is in experienced depth. Joe Evans is it. Nelson Jenkins is on the roster, but has done nothing so far. Other than that, it's true freshmen. Now, we are bringing in a talented haul, but that's a tough position to play as a freshman.

We lose our best pass rusher, Chaisson, and who knows if Phillips or Queen return? Stevens will go pro. That's a dead certainty.

LSU's front seven and QB positions are taking a step back next year. So will LSU. I'll be rooting for the Tigers, but I expect a 3 loss regular season. And before you ask, I predicted 11-1 this year. That was my real prediction. In the prediction threads I predicted an undefeated season, which has been my prediction every year for a half century. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Bama has had the largest support staff in CFB along with Ohio St and like you said Bama has had some of the highest recruiting classes. So obviously Saban is just an idiot that requires great players and a huge staff to succeed.

He is very smart and is doing a great job of letting his coaches coach. I have been in the building when the coaches were working and the environment is great and the coaches work hard. They work well together and understand their roles. The lack of egos is amazing considering how good some of these coaches are

First of all, technically Clemson's is the most expensive staff:

But secondly, does that really matter? He's a balls to the wall recruiter and is a good enough to coach to identify what he needs on staff and goes after them. Most good coaches have excellent staffs they pay handsomely. Even Nick Saban would be having problems if he hired crappy to mediocre coordinators and position coaches.

Considering Bama pays the same amount for assistants, coordinators, shadow staff and with recent turnover because they probably can't stand to work for him is probably the reason Bama has slipped.

You're a dumb frick! So you just assume that someone with a thick accent or may speak a little differently isn't a smart man? Keep thinking that way, it really does show your IQ fricker!

I’m sure coach O learned stuff and improved over the last decade. But I think his success does show a lot about what a great staff can do for you. He does deserve some credit for hiring the staff. But the deep pockets at LSU definitely helped him land the best people.

What a fricking moron.

Most of the salary in that "expensive staff" is going to one man - Dave Aranda, though they will be offering Joe Brady a new contract I'm sure....
So when you say "staff", what you really mean is "Defensive Coordinator."

1. He has a Master's Degree
2. He has a very deep gruff voice, but not an accent (see Bobby Hebert for accent).
3. There has yet to be one reporter or interviewer who has said 'can you repeat that?'
4. He is one of the best motivators and recruiters in the country.

Dumbass...
