How would Orgeron be doing if he didn’t have the most expensive staff in CFB?

Given how he did at Ole Miss, I have to wonder.

What does it matter? A man should know his limitations, and Coach O clearly does. He found a way to make it work despite them, which is more than most can say.

He doesn’t demand a ridiculous salary so that it frees up money to get the best staff available. Pretty sure that’s what a great HC is supposed to do

Killer insult

Well he’s the most successful coach in the country so far this year so I guess he would be worse than that
Such a dumbass statement, he’s running a program and outperforming every other coach in the SEC currently

Yeah.

I’m sure coach O learned stuff and improved over the last decade. But I think his success does show a lot about what a great staff can do for you.

He does deserve some credit for hiring the staff. But the deep pockets at LSU definitely helped him land the best people.

I’m not saying he doesn’t. But it’s hard to say what staff he’d be able to put together if he wasn’t able to outbid everybody.

Well, just look at last year. No Joe Brady, 5-3 in the conference.

I thought the rant said we were poor?

Still a shite argument, no other programs can pay their staff?

Signed every coach ever. Look at Saban’s staff at LSU (Jimbo, Muschamp, Kirby, Dooley, etc). shite look at the coaches that have been on his staff at Alabama. That’s why coaches like coaching at big programs. One of the big selling points in negotiations is how much money is allocated for a staff

So LSU went from the poors of the SEC to only winning because of how much money they dedicate to making good hires

Nobody knew who the hell Joe Brady was before this year and he didn't have to compete with any other college team. He just made a great hire. There is some good luck involved there, but credit to Orgeron.
