Islam grew quickly early on due to military force. Conquered tribes and nations were forced to convert to Islam or die. If any of the conquered were Christians or Jews, they experienced persecution and heavy taxes if they didn’t convert to Islam.
Was it it Islam that conquered North America?
How much did congress give Israel in the CR of March 2025?

AIPAC boasting of their success within the US budget March 2025
And my favorite:
I guess mentioning the US fleet(s) of ships and bases surrounding the region would go against the narrative of "defending themselves".

Congress passed a continuing resolution to fund the government through the end of fiscal year 2025, which included vital funding for our priorities, including full security assistance to Israel, missile defense cooperation, and other key U.S.-Israel programs.

Congress Passed $3.8 Billion and More for Israel's Security
And my favorite:
quote:
$3.3 BILLION for Security Assistance to Israel, with No Added Conditions; Ensures our ally Israel can defend itself, by itself, against growing threats.
quote:
Prohibits US Funding to UNRWA For Another Year; Extends the prohibition of funding to UNRWA, following clear evidence that the agency's employees participated in the October 7 attack and have repeatedly engaged in
quote:
Prohibits Funding for Anti-Israel Commission of Inquiry; Prohibits US funding for the UN's biased and one-sided Commission of Inquiry into Israel.

True, but good chance you're getting a better salary (or stock incentives) to talk about that equation if you graduated from Harvard.
If for no other reason, your dad probably owns the company.
Or your dad's friend, who also went to Ivy, etc.

my issue isn’t with the defense of Israel or Jews. my issue is with the cavalier bullshite that muslims only hate us because of our intervention in the region. they do, and will continue to do so, hate us for purely ethnic and religious reasons.quote:
Islam invaded within a few hundred miles of the English channel 1000 years before Israel or the United States existed. it’s comforting to say Islamic radicalism is purely a reaction to Western intervention. but that claim fundamentally belies the entire written record of the world. ancient and modern alike.
I don’t make any bones about it. we should not accept a single immigrant from the muslim world. period, full stop
You might be right about them hating us. (By the way, I don't really like my neighbor, either.).
And Christians/Jews haven't invaded anything, right?
Well, I'm okay with us to "try to stop intervening" for a change. It doesn't seem to be working.
And you may be right on the immigration, but I hope you're not, as I don't see that changing.

you strike me as the type who thinks the crusades were a mistake
So let me piece this together.
The future Israel people left the past Israel, to go spread Christianity to Europe and such. Remind me, were they a nation when they left, or were they kinda nomadic?
And then came back 1800 years later to find that "their" land had been inhabited by other folks.
And so they started killing those folks and taking the land, primarily with the help of the UK, who also granted this land to the same people after WWI.
And eventually, those folks were able to secure enough money to buy US politicians, so that the US taxpayer could fund their war to make their own country, even if it meant killing those folks that were already there.
That's what our politicians have been bought off to support with their votes, with our taxpayer dollars. Which of course, makes us the enemy to many other folks that disagree with those so called "Christian" tactics of murdering children while living in the houses that their parents lived in.
Is that the history lesson that you are inferring?

You mean violence not arguments don't you? Destruction when you have no real standings on issues but you like to be against something or someone. Just destroy something to be seen, not even necessarily heard, because you can't articulate your position when you don't know the history of the issues you claim to be protesting.
It’s so ironic when someone gets upset at supposed “violent” protests (with zero proof), so that you can defend Israel slaughtering tens of thousands of children.
“Violence” like what? Compared to killing children?

But.....is it a coincidence that all the "news" coming out of Gaza originate from the Hamas controlled news agency? There is no independent verification of 1) the number of deaths or 2) what civilians ....adults / chidren....are being killed.
No coincidence at all.
Israel has killed over 200 journalists in or near Gaza.
Feel free to slurp up Israeli propaganda my American friend. You’re not alone.
quote:
Problem solved, they can go protest in Israel.
True. There’s certainly a lot Israeli’s protesting their own country’s actions.
Then again, a lot of US protesters are Jewish too. A lot of Jews realize how bad this is for their own reputations.
And the AIPAC propaganda machine keeps winning in the USofA. Keep sending those tax dollars suckers!
quote:
No moral person is happy innocent children dying but were you as unhappy happy that children were murdered on Oct 7. If before that date someone had asked about a hypothetical act like what happened and asked you predict Israel’s response, what would you have predicted?
Everyone including you and the perpetrators knew based on history what was coming. Were the tunnels built to protect the children or the fighters. We know water lines have been ripped out to build rockets with no guidance systems and food has been looted and resold to support the fight. Doesn’t sound like they were focusing on protecting their own children.
Those Palestinian fighters are using those children as shields. You sound comfortable hiding behind your mama’s skirt.
You seem like a smart guy.
If history started on Oct 7: about 1240 civilians killed by Hamas actors. Since then, how many civilians has ISD killed? 10,000? 200,000?
Why was the ISD not in normal position on Oct 7, but instead, in north Israel?
How did ISD not know what was coming? The US warned them.
Did Bibi allow Oct 7 so that he could eradicate Gaza?
We know Israel has blockaded water, food and energy going into Gaza since 2006. And they've had numerous "mowing the lawn" events where they killed hundreds of children.
And Israel builds their bases right among their civilians too. And it's been shown that ISD has been using Palestinians as their shields. And sniper deaths among children are common.
Believe who you want. If the USA weren't financing this, it would be easy to be neutral.
Then again, we have a big fat surplus of money in DC anyway, huh?
I'm only seeing one report of this:
Looks like some Turkish publication
Why aren't we seeing this in US media if true?
quote:
US President Donald Trump has decided to cut off direct contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a report said Thursday.
Yanir Cozin, a correspondent for Israeli Army Radio, said in a post on his X account that Trump made the decision after close associates told Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer that the president believes that Netanyahu is manipulating him.
An Israeli official added that Dermer’s tone during recent discussions with senior Republican figures about what Trump should do was seen as arrogant and unhelpful.
The official said that people around Trump told him that "Netanyahu was manipulating him."
"There is nothing Trump hates more than being portrayed as a fool or someone being played. That’s why he decided to cut contact with Netanyahu," the official added.
Cozin pointed to the Israeli government’s failure to present a concrete plan and timeline regarding Iran and Yemen’s Houthis as a source of the worsening US-Israel relationship.

Isn’t this true of every politician?

No, it's not about AIPAC
Let’s just agree to disagree on all things Israel related to the USA.
I suggest you underestimate their control over us.
Yea, Netanyahu has more cards to play.
Let’s see if an American ship or base gets hit, and Israeli intelligence indicates it was bombs bought at an Iranian convenience store.

True, like Douglas Murray said, “How can you have an opinion on something if you’ve never bean there?”
Surely, they’d need to know the coordinates to disagree with slaughtering children.
