And responsible for the greatest in-game melt in the history of tRant, imho.

Those who were here will never forget 11/8/2014

but what other D-Line in the West is better than State?

LSU's will be better for one. Chaisson, Lawrence, Fehoko, and Alexander/Shelvin are going to wreck people.

State has 17 starters returning from a 9-4 team. Can you name the last time State finished last in the West?

State finished 6th just two seasons ago.

I don't think Morehead will use his QB as a battering ram, which is their returning QB's strong suit. If they try to drop him back, pro-style ... they don't win six games

Moorhead's QB's ran the ball 171 times last season.

Fitzgerald had 162 carries last season

Better question is; When is the last time state won the SECw?

Y’all also played two of the worst teams out of the east last year

Hilarious. MSU played Kentucky and Georgia and got destroyed by Georgia.

LMAO. None of them are better than the SEC sack leader or Simmons.

1998

I was just pointing out that predicting us to finish last is really dumb.

I agree, but picking you to finish first is just as dumb.

State has two very talented guys and the rest are average.

the other 2 starters are draft picks next April. For all Mullen's average recruiting, it wasn't on the DL. We have 4 stars on the 3rd team just like Auburn

Kentucky had more conference wins than Florida and Tennessee combined.

-State returns a ton, but what direction will the offense go? The personnel currently on the roster is set up for more a spread/power run scheme. Will Moorhead stay with that plan or force square pegs into round holes? That decision could sway them from 8 wins to 10/11 wins.

It's not nearly the drastic change that people seem to think. Moorhead's base offense is still the read option, which isn't much different from Mullen's base offense. Moorhead tosses in more passing options, but if Fitzgerald cannot make deep throws that give his receivers a 50/50 shot, then those options will be reduced.

The only thing that concerns me is that Moorhead doesn't like the long, time consuming, ball control drives. That was totally State's MO last season.
