They’re going to end up wasting Skenes in a blowout. That’s just silly to me.
Even if they pitched a midweek guy that maybe didn’t have an excellent game, their hitting and defense are going to run Tulane out of the park.

And this is exactly why Johnson started Skenes. Our #3 is so inconsistent that he didn't want to risk going through 3-4 guys in our inconsistent bullpen in game #1. I would have started Floyd to be safe but I think we'll be fine either way in this region.

Thank you. This decision has effected my entire mood. Les Miles in BCS level poor decision. I support Jay Johnson but this is the worst decision I’ve ever seen. He’s the best pitcher in LSU history and facing a team with 40 loses.

Corbs, at least in all outward appearances, only cares about winning the game in front of him. I'd say his track record in regionals speaks for itself. Granted, most years, the back end starters at Vandy are probably Friday night guys in their own right.
I haven't seen the status on Owen and Holton, so this regional should be interesting.

He pitched Skenes cause he was skeered duh. No confidence in his team or pitching staff.
