Shouldn’t have to settle for either. What a disastrous search from Barnhart. We could’ve got Pope the day before the season started but he pulls the trigger two days into the search

Barnhart totally misread Scott Drew and put all his eggs in that basket and chasing will of the wisps. Would we even consider Pope if he wasn’t an alum? If no, then this is the wrong move. I can’t believe Craft and others would buy off on this. This smells like BCG all over again, without the alcohol.

I can’t believe we didn’t go after Beard or Tang.

We may be looking for a new AD real soon.

Why the hell would anyone want to hire Jerome Tang? He was my biggest fear during our search

Hold up... WildcatMike said they got Oats, then Scott Drew, then Billy Donovan was an option... and now they settled for this stiff?

In his defense all of this had to have caught him completely by surprise. Cal kinda stuck it to that program by giving them what wanted.

But he also had to know cal was shopping around because everyone else seemed to know so he has no excuse for not being ready.

This feels like the basketball version of Bryan Harsin. Congrats Kentucky.

Sounds uglier than "regret" on Rupp's Rafters:

Revolt now. We run this program and will not stand for this. Call UK NOW

Surely the boosters can derail this, right?

Do this if you want Barnhart and Pope gone!
Don't make any donations to the NIL. Don't make any donations to the University. Don't go to the basketball camps. Don't spend anything on any UK merchandise. Definitely don't go to the games.

UK Will Never Get Another Dime From Me In ANY SPORT
How in the living hell could Barnhart be this stupid?

We’re below Ole Miss basketball
They hired Chris Beard. We hired a guy that nobody outside of Kentucky has heard of. Unbelievable.

Probably, he had a surprise run to the elite 8 with a bunch of 25-26 year olds. BYU guy at least seems consistent, but isn’t unfamiliar to losing multiple WCC games in a season.

Mark's gonna need a Pope-Mobile for riding around Lexington.

I wonder if it's too late for Kentucky fans/boosters to Greg Schiano this thing?

Still glad he’s gone.

Liked the basketball crazed Hogs the moment they joined. I’m happy the Hogs are happy, they needed “something” and it’s a solid shot in the arm for a great program.

Still hoping to cash my Barnhart/Cal please leave exacta.

We’ll see how this hire works out, if it doesn’t on to the next one. It’ll eventually sort itself out and natural order will be restored. Always has, always will.

Kentucky is going to become irrelevant and will not really be an SEC school athletically very quickly. NIL is horrible for them. They have to have a name brand coach for the machine to work.

Mike posted this evening there was some good news regarding Billy Donovan. We are still waiting to hear what that good news is.

Hope it works out man. We've been there too many times.
