If Clemson loses against ND, that is two loses for them, they are out.

Texas A&M really isn't that good of a team at all.

The fact that A&M is even in the conversation shows how weak the entirety of CFB is this year. Bama is the only good SEC team this year.

BYU is 4th and Wisconsin is 7th in FEI. I don't think it's a great metric this year.

A@m over Clemson is laughable

While I agree Clemson is the better team, A&M's win over Florida is still better than any win Clemson has (though Clemson did lose in OT to Notre Dame rather than losing by 28 to Alabama).

I think you could make a case for either, honestly. Just depends on your criteria.

They better place OSU as #4 by default. They deserve a skullfricking by Alabama after what that conference tried to do to the season.

2014 Ohio State had ONE win over a 10+ win team in the regular season (Michigan State). They lost by 14 to eventual (7-6) Virginia Tech. Hokies had three of their six losses to teams who finished with a losing record.

TCU and Baylor both had one loss in the regular season and were just as much good as Ohio State, deserving a shot at the CFP. But the XII didn't have a CCG at the time and the "co-champions" moniker backfired.

If 2014 Ohio State was deserving then 2020 Texas A&M is most definitely deserving.

AGGIES would be undefeated in the XII, Pac 12, B1G, ACC this year.

No one can convince me that Texas A&M is the #3 team. I have a hard time buying them even being in the playoff.

While your arguments against A&M are valid to some degree, they playoff has to be filled out with four teams. Who is worthy?

Yes.

That said, if that happens, I'm not sure it automatically opens the door for aTm, especially if their best win is a 3 loss UF. They also have a multi possession loss to Bama and a bad win over Vandy.

It may be unpopular, but if it plays out like that, I think there is strong discussion on an undefeated Cincy conference champ. Even a potential 2 loss Big 12 champ has to be in that discussion if aTm is not clearly better to the committee. There is also a potential undefeated 6-0 blue blood in USC lingering out there, but that is a lot of ground to make up and not sure the committee wants to reward two 6 win teams

Coastal Carolina would win it all. They don’t have a big brand though so no invite.

Cincy needs in. IDGAF about SoS this year. It can't just be all SEC vs ACC and the other conferences dropped the ball

These are the worst rankings I've seen in a long time.

Except for the significant advantage in rest, minimal nagging injuries accumulated over the season, and minimal tape for other teams, especially when they haven't really been challenged to show a lot.

It is a significant advantage and a situation their conference placed them in.

Cincinnati schedule:
Austin Peay
Army
USF
Tulsa
SMU
Memphis
Houston
East Carolina
UCF

Name the P5 teams that would be undefeated with that schedule...
SEC: BAMA, A&M, Florida, Georgia.
B1G: Ohio State, Indiana, NW.
ACC: ND, Clemson, NC, maybe Miami.
Big 12: OU
Pac 12: WTF cares.

They don't deserve to play for a NC with that schedule. Full Stop.

not that what I say matters but this is based on the fact that Ohio State and USC should NOT be in the CFP semifinals consideration. Ohio State may be one of the best teams this year but their dumb conference administrators decided to start late. And no this is not me defending an opportunity for Oklahoma or Iowa State to have a chance to get in.

LOL...you must be high on drugs. OSU is in and anybody with a brain knows that. This is the year of covid and the committee has already said the amount of games played will not be a factor. If it wasn't for OSU (and Nebraska to an extent) the BIG10 would have never played. justin Fielss 300,000 petitions, parents protesting in front of league offices, and Ryan Day's adamancy about wanting to play made it happen. The rest of the Big10 were cowards and didn't care if they played or not... I can respect OSU for that, and for that alone I hope they go all the way. They are in so deal with it.
