How did Bama give up 31 points to the 91st ranked scoring offense in the country?

14 of those points were in the 4thQ against the 3rd string defense...
after Alabama was winning the game 58-17

which teams? because Miami and Auburn are not good. You guys just continue to look foolish asserting that they are. Auburn is staring down a 6-6 season, and Miami should have lost to an awful Florida State team and did in fact lose to an awful Virginia team

You make this so easy.

quote:

Average Total/Scoring Offense of Opponents:

Bama
Total - 54th
Scoring - 67th

LSU
Total - 56th
Scoring - 48th

Average Total/Scoring Defense of Opponents:

Bama
Total - 84th
Scoring - 93rd

LSU
Total - 33rd
Scoring - 30th

Bama Opponent's Overall Record: 25-28
LSU Opponent's Overall Record: 37-18

Notice the massive discrepancies in defenses faced and overall records.

it's just that you guys don't know what garbage time is like because you have been in knife fights with your cupcakes. Has anyone besides burrows even taken a pass attempt?

no because the staff is trying to redshirt Brennan, and what does the number of snaps by the backup QB have to do with defense?

Which cupcakes? Define garbage time. Define knife fight. Let's get you on the record here.

Nothing. OP is getting his arse handed to him in his own thread.

Honestly, he should start a Devin White is a murderer thread to save some dignity.

Almost 30% of their INT's came against MSU.

It’s not like we didn’t get interceptions before that game though. We kind of lead the nation in that category.

I can see why you want to steer the topic away from your pass defense
Lsu average passing offense faced (did you a favor and left off the fcs team)
70.29
Lsu pass defense rank
37.

That's pretty elite

LSU is trash. We have no chance to beat Alabama. I wouldn’t even worry about it, at all. Nbd.

what are you using for these rankings?

ETA: ah I see what you are using now. Pass yds/game
LSU - 199
Bama - 194

Virginia isn’t awful. And not sure you want to compare the schedules of LSU and Bama. Even if ours is overrated, we still blow Bama’s out the water.

I did this already. LSU has better overall numbers than Bama.

Good re-hash.

If we want to focus on more relevant stats comparing the two defenses:

LSU home scoring defense ppg: 11.1 (1)
Avg rank of home opponent's offense: 37

Bama away scoring defense ppg: 18.3 (19)
Avg rank of away opponent offense: 67

The parentheses after the ppg number is where it ranks nationally.

You’re right. Our defense sucks. Tua should just be playing Call of Duty with Cheeto-dusted thumbs the next couple of weeks.
