After facing this collection of QBs(qbr in parentheses)?

(Outside top 100)Rosier Miami lol
Virgil SE Louisiana FCS school lol
(78)Stidham Auburn lol
(81)Smith LA Tech this guy threw for 300+ and 3 TDS but tua won't be able to :)
(14)Ta'amu Ole Miss
(46)Franks Florida
(5)Fromm Georgia
(Outside top 100)Fitzgerald Miss State lol

How is LSU's vaunted secondary not #1 in pass d after that guantlet.

Here are the pass offense rankings for these teams through week 8
Miami #90
SE Louisiana FCS
Auburn #86
LA Tech #45
Ole Miss #4
Florida #91
Georgia #65
Miss State #111

Bama and lsu have only played one common opponent so far, ole Miss, and Ta'amu is one of the 2 decent qbs lsu has played. So how did he do against bama?
7/22 133 yards 1td 2 ints 4.9 qbr his td and 75 of his yards we're on the first play
Against LSU
19/38 178 0 td 1 int 25.1 qbr

The other decent/good qb you played was fromm. You held him to 8 yards more than his season average (though kudos for the 2 ints)

and I can find stats that side with LSU when comparing common opponents.

LSU defense passing yards against - 1598
Bama defense passing yards against - 1556

Which tells me that the defense just keeps getting better.

We have played better teams all year long. If we had a cupcake schedule, we probably would be much higher.

How did Bama give up 31 points to the 91st ranked scoring offense in the country?

I'm not saying lsu doesn't have a good secondary, but this is the literal strength of your team, it's the best thing you do, and it's fairly meh when you dig into it. The only big stat you lead in is ints, and that's just because Fitzgerald, maybe the worst passer in college football, threw you about 100. Bama is #2 in ints. I guess we will see just how good your dbs are in 2 weeks

Did you watch the game at all? Ole Miss was throwing short passes the entire game getting completions and nothing else. That is why yds/att is also a stat that is tracked. LSU didn't allow a 75 yd TD either.

#6 in QB rating
#7 in completion %
#16 in yards per attempt

All better metrics than yards/game... Nice try

Oh, and #1 in INTs (14 INTs to 7 TDs allowed)

which teams? because Miami and Auburn are not good. You guys just continue to look foolish asserting that they are. Auburn is staring down a 6-6 season, and Miami should have lost to an awful Florida State team and did in fact lose to an awful Virginia team
