I don't know what you want us to say here. LSU's defense is not very good and Alabama can't be beat.

Do you still want to play the game, or just call it now?

According to LSU fans, they have the best pass defense ever. The stats don't back it up. Tua will throw for over 300 yards and 5 TD with no INT.

yea LSU will definitely play the same vs. the #1 team in the country as they did vs. LA Tech and SE LA.

Really no point. Being a football fan of one of the better teams in the country, and I'm sure you've watched this offense, how would you scheme against it?

Link?

Our corners are great and we have one of the best safeties in the nation. But our pass rush has been extremely inconsistent all year.

I'd be tempted to sweep the leg, but my morality would force me to figure something else out. Mr. Miyagi taught me better than that.

I'm not saying this in any arrogant way, but I do not think there is a way to scheme against this offense. In my 40 years of watching college football, I have never seen this kind of talent across the board as this offense has. If you try man press, there will be one or even two WR's running free. Linebackers will be in space covering TE's and RB's.

It's a great offense, no doubt, but let's keep in perspective it still hasn't seen a defense close to LSU's in talent so far. A&M's secondary is nothing like ours. Greedy and Fulton have both been shut down corners recently and Delpit really needs to introduction.

The way you try and hurt Bama's passing game is apply some more pressure than some have been able to and even more importantly, man up those receivers and jam them at the line. So many times I see Jeudy, Waddle, Ruggs, Smith all get free releases and it blows my mind why teams are doing that. All 4 of those receivers are relatively small guys so you need to be physical with them at the point of attack, that's how to throw off the timing in the passing game. When you let them free release, get behind you, and aply no pressure on Tua, it's like watching 7 on 7.

I'm not saying we will definitely be able to accomplish all that, but no offense is unstoppable. UGA put up at least 38 points in every game leading up to our game with them, and then they scored 16. Now UGA's offense isn't Bama's, but it goes to show what can happen when you finally play a really tough defense after coasting for so long.

Step 1: Have athletes that can match up with Bama's skill players.

No one Bama has played does. LSU will.

You could make the exact same thread in reverse about the dogshit pass defenses Alabama has faced.

Sounds good. But your team gave up 215 yards rushing to the Gators. So, if Bama establishes that kind of running game, then you better hope those receivers don't get off of those jams because there will have to be a safety down in the box. That leaves the slot and or TE on a LBr.

Passer rating against nationally:

UL - 112th (151.11 RAT against)
Ark St - 92nd (140.41 RAT against)
Ole Miss - 107th (145.45 RAT against)
A&M - 106th (145.38 RAT against)
ULL - 123rd (157.05 RAT against)
Ark - 96th (142.48 RAT against)
Mizzou - 104th (144.97 RAT against)
Tennessee - 90th (139.82 RAT against)

Literally haven't faced a Top 75, 80, 85...pass defense all season

You gave up 215 yards rushing to the Gators. Do you really think Florida's rushing game is that much better than Bama's? Are their skilled players better than Bama's?

We're using 1 game now?

Well, Bama gave up 31 points to the vaunted Razorback offense. How do they plan on stopping LSU? Sounds like it's going to be a shootout.

This is why losing White hurts. We didn't have our other ILB Phillips against Florida and they were able to exploit that. Aranda counts on being able to play 2 high safeties and stopping the run without having to load the box. This means, our defensive line and linebackers need to beat their blocks and make tackles.

Against Florida, we had a true freshman, Baskerville filling in for Phillips and he just wasn't able to make the 1 on 1 plays.

UF's best rushing plays were a handful option plays to the outside, does Bama even run those? Alkso Bama's rushing game has only managed 4.8 yards per carry against SEC teams, and that was against A&M, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Mizzou and Tennessee. Just not your strength really at all this year.

But they look like the 2000 St. Louis Rams!

14 points late. Didn't alter the outcome. And we were talking about your teams defense. I'm just trying to use a comparable team. So obviously you think Florida's offense is on par with Bama's?

Thanks for the clarification.

Our linebacker situation without White is similar to what you guys were dealing with at the end of last year.

Our coaches are going to have to work overtime to figure this out, because unlike Alabama last year, we're not blessed to be going up against Mississippi state with our depleted LB corps.
