Cupcake, I’m not doing anything.

LSU brought the rally to try and dig something up to give a glimpse of hope against Bama. X’s And O’s are all that matter and sweetheart you’re team isn’t looking so hot.

LSU's passing defense is ranked 6th by passer rating against.

Total passing yards allowed per game is a relatively useless stat, but feel free to keep using it.

Let me play devil's advocate.

They're still a good pass defense, talent wise.
Scheme-wise, though, they have some issues if they cannot get QBs to rethink/bite on certain things.

Protection also plays a big part. Their DL is not to the level that past LSU DLs have been. They don't "suck", but they are not the All-World DLs of the past few seasons.

Tua is likely to have a ton of time to throw, which means LSU will need to blitz a lot. That will open up a lot of passing lanes in the flats. If LSU's DL was like past DLs, I think this would be a lot closer - but as good as the DBs might be, any good WR will get open given enough time.

Alabama does have the best WRs in the SEC being thrown to by the best QB in the SEC.

So, LSU's DB talent will not falter - but their DL talent may not be sufficient for the task.

Well, not better passing teams.

6th you say? Not too shabby. The Great Tua’s passer rating is the highest in the history of the game. The Great Tua has no equal!

Bama and lsu have only played one common opponent so far, ole Miss, and Ta'amu is one of the 2 decent qbs lsu has played. So how did he do against bama?
...1td

Against LSU
0 td

So there's only been one QB both teams have faced, and he threw for a TD vs Bama, and no TDs vs LSU?

Is that the point you're trying to make here?

I approve.

Top 4 passing defenses faced by Bama

92 - Arkansas State - 140.2
96 - Arkansas - 142.2
106 - Texas A&M - 145.4

Top 4 passing defenses faced by LSU
5 - Miami - 94.7
7 - Florida - 99.8
9 - Mississippi State - 102.7
14 - Georgia - 106.1

What does the opposing pass defense have to do with LSU's pass defense?

Besides, those teams all got to face a terrible LSU passing offense. That probably helped their numbers.

This is reality. Great DBs can’t win if the QB has all day and is accurate. Not to mention our run defense is fairly weak.

I keep saying the same thing. This is Dave Aranda’s time to shine. He better think of something he hasn’t thought of so far.

Or we can just all accept that our mediocre recruiting on the lines is not something you can fix with schemes.

Why are you comparing passing yards to QB rating?

LSU is 6th in opponent QB rating

Probably because we are first in interceptions and 7th in yards per attempt.

Again, you people don't seem to understand that offensive production is not what is holding Louisiana Tech back. It's lack of winning the games that matter and almost non-existent defense.

Tech can and will throw on people. It's what they do.

I'm not saying this in any arrogant way, but I do not think there is a way to scheme against this offense. In my 40 years of watching college football, I have never seen this kind of talent across the board as this offense has. If you try man press, there will be one or even two WR's running free. Linebackers will be in space covering TE's and RB's.

It's kind of like, pick your poison.

I will believe you if Bama scores 30 plus against LSU. Until then, I think your offense is great but not as good as people want to believe due to benefiting from a shitty schedule.

I'm not saying this in a dickhead way, but it helps when Bama hasn't faced a single defense inside the top half of the nation.

We see this every year with offenses kicking the shite out of bad defenses. They struggle to move the ball as well against teams that have a modicum of defensive talent.

Solid rebuttal. I have no idea how anyone can disagree with you.
