Just not your strength really at all this year.

I wouldn't say it's not our strength because we haven't had to rely on it as much. It will be interesting to see how Bama schemes against this defense, though. Do they come out throwing it as they have in all the previous games, since that is what LSU is expecting them to do. Or does Bama try and establish that run game first?

14 points late. Didn't alter the outcome. And we were talking about your teams defense. I'm just trying to use a comparable team. So obviously you think Florida's offense is on par with Bama's?

I think Florida scored 19 points in 4 quarters. Arkansas scored 31 on Bama.

Like I said, shootout.

we're not blessed to be going up against Mississippi state with our depleted LB corps.

That wasn't the easiest of games without our LB's with Fitz gashing us up the middle the whole game. That's why I hate this two game stretch. It's normally our two most physical opponents all year.

You better hope not. Low scoring favors your team much more than it does mine.

Does it? LSU's defense hasn't given up more than 19 points this season. Bama has given up 21+ three times.

Didn't Florida score 27?

If your are saying that doesn't count because of a defensive TD, then Bama's defense only gave 14 to Tennessee. Tennessee also had a defensive TD.

That's why I used yards per carry, which is 4.8. not bad by any means, but it's clearly not the strength of your offense, that's definitely the passing game.

Honestly dont know, lots of chess match games though IMO in the end between both teams. I think both teams will want to establish a run if they can like every physical LSU/Bama game, but Bama will probably turn to tossing it around pretty quick if they find some early success there. Bama has gone for jugular in passing game early on all season long it seems like.

I will say, I feel like our coaches might have a few rabbits in their hat trick play wise. We havent run but 1 all season long (fake punt). Curious to see if they pull 1 or 2 out this game to get things fired up.

So Bama's only given up 21+ twice to LSU's 0. And one of those was to a team averaging 26 PPG.

You gave up 215 yards rushing to the Gators. Do you really think Florida's rushing game is that much better than Bama's? Are their skilled players better than Bama's?

And LSU held UGA less than half their rushing average.

...and less than half their scoring average - because, after all, yards don't win games, points do.

Yeah. I guess I was a little overboard when I said "blessed".

But...who would you rather face with a thin LB corps. Alabama 2018 or Mississippi State 2017? I know who I'd rather.

What were the margins of victory in those?

They did. Bama's 3rd and 4th stringers give up some points in the 4th quarter of those games.

LSU has had to play their starters most of all their games, because they can't put the game away by the half.

Moving the goal posts again? I really don't have time for that.

Pick and narrative and stand by it.

Sorry LSU has played a schedule with opponents that are above .500. Something Alabama cannot claim.

Yes sir. That's one of the things I miss about Coach Miles. He always had something up his sleeve in a game like this and you never knew when he would pull it out. Not sure about how loose Coach O is with plays like that. I'm sure something crazy will happen.

I'm not moving the goal post. So we should compare the 31 points given up to Arkansas, with 7 of those coming with less than a minute to go in the game, to L Tech's 21 given up by that vaunted D?

Why not? LA Tech is better than Arkansas and score fewer points.

LSU has played one good team, Georgia.

Alabama has played one good team, Texas A&M.

You know, teams can give up yards without points right?

and it's fairly meh when you dig into it.

Theres nothing fairly meh about our secondary. It's awesome and everybody who watches our games knows it. We lead the SEC in opponents QBR and lead the nation in interceptions. Delpit is by far the best safety in the SEC. Greedy is by far the best corner in the SEC. And for good measure, Devin White is by far the best linebacker in the SEC and country. Our defense is awesome. Seeing Bama fans trying there hardest to discredit us is funny.

We've played an absolute gauntlet and we're 7-1 and fourth in the nation. Yall either simply do not know football or are just trolling.
