I don’t know man, but all things being equal someone would have to be a complete lunatic to choose a weekend trip to College Station over Austin. No one would make that choice, right?
Therefore I classify your entire thread as un-American.

It's inevitable when it comes to cities. Like bureaucratic organizations (corporations, church, gov't, etc.), cities are destined to take a statist turn---one that's often dysfunctional esp. in western society where everybody has rights.

Didn’t LSU just make some CRT loon their President?
I agree with you here but I want to make sure everyone is on the same page
The prevailing sentiment on this board seems to be the opposite

The best thing about Austin isn't even in Austin. Thankfully there is currently no government program that gives out free boats so Lake Travis is safe for now.

Austin has some redeeming qualities. Just not the people.
The main university population don't represent the city of Austin. Keep in mind it is a capital city, so you have an influx of the leftist soycunts and feminazis making up a large portion of the population and the university students make up a non-permanent part of the population. Just like all universities, Texas has their leftist loons.

Don’t forget the homeless population. Lots and lots of homelessness.

Austin had hippies back when hippies were hippies. Now, think either Portland or Seattle with cowboy boots & hats.

Austin is something of an oasis for liberals — a weird little blue island surrounded by the vast red sea of conservatism that stretches across pretty much all the rest of the state.
However, apparently our fair city is even more appealing to left-leaning persons than we thought. According to a study conducted recently by SmartAsset, a New York-based financial consulting company, Austin, Texas ranks as the second best U.S. city for liberals to call home.
