But the SEC draws the line on Louisiana judges?? Make it make sense

Trinidad didn’t play in the NFL. Bediako played maybe 4-5 games before being denied an extended preliminary injunction (after playing professional basketball).

For the same reason the Big 12 pushed back on Brandon Sorsby and the Texas Injunction.

Bediako is no longer eligible. Chambliss never entered the draft or went pro.

You guys can say this until you are blue in the face, but he was ruled ineligible due to NCAA rules. That's precisely why he had to get a judge to override the NCAA.

They have a hard time understanding that. He was declared ineligible by the NCAA, just for different reasons. So the NCAA should not allow Ole Miss to play in playoffs. Same result for players determined to be ineligible by NCAA

People forget too when Trinidad TRO was came down.. 5 to 5 rule was not made by NCAA yet too.. Even though Trinidad is still within the 5 for 5 rule with his ruling just from how many years has played and not. People are too dumb to realize that.

They should've enforced their rules evenly instead of arbitrarily and they wouldn't be in this scenario. The NCAA hates us way more than you guys so it wasn't from lack of trying. They lost to the Mississippi Supreme Court too.

The SEC has just selectively chosen not to punish Ole Miss for having a player that has a TRO against the NCAA.
They will have to defend this in court.
Thus the SEC will likely have to choose to either punish everyone who plays with an ineligible player or no one.

The reason they lost the Chambliss case was because of their selective enforcement of the rules. Maybe don't do that next time but as we all know that'll never happen.

The NCAA hasn’t lost the case yet.
The case is still pending.
Chambliss has been granted relief while the ruling is pending.
The EXACT same scenario as these other players
Hence why the SEC will lose.

No he is. He missed the 2022 season due to persistent respiratory/throat issues. Trinidad’s argument was that he should have received a medical redshirt for this season which is why he went to court.

My view on this is Sankey just needs to rule on his eligibility given his sole authority to do so. There's disagreement between NCAA and a court ruling. Sankey should make the call one way or the other. Honestly I think even if he did, he would rule him eligible because it's not good for the conference to nuke a teams starting quarterback a week before play starts. But at least he would have to get off his arse and make a decision and live with it. Staying silent is just kinda a bitch move.
