Deion's all about Deion........and money. Always has been, and always will be. He's a total fraud.

Same can be said about 95% of college football coaches today

Meh, he had more talent than anyone he faced. At Colorado, that won't be the case. I guarantee he's not going undefeated his 1st 2 years there. ??

Great hire.

1-11 season & empty stadiums after two decades of miserable teams. Boulder is cracker white tree huggers full of Subarus & Birkenstocks & no NIL game.

I can’t believe they had the balls to pull this off.

You forgot this:

Your entire program could find weed in 10 minutes, I'd bet less than 10 could find the library.

He hasn’t shown he can run a program. Which is more than coaching. How his past with his school didn’t come into question with the CU decision makers shows how desperate they are and needed a name. Huge risk but what do they have to lose with where they have been.

Colorado is going to be Arizona State when they had Tony Dungee.

Did you mean Tony Dungy? As in former NFL coach? He never was with Arizona State as a player or coach.

He’s not going undefeated for sure. He’ll have them bowl eligible in a year or two. Maybe playing in a conference championship as USC and UCLA leave.

He’ll jump again before things fully stabilize. Perfect situation for him because the team has nowhere to go but up.

Also - his speech was fine as long as you’re not a QB…. Tom Brady wouldn’t be starting over his kid lol. Otherwise though I took it as a challenge for the players to step up. Basically if you don’t want to elevate your play and fully buy in then hit the portal.

Given how badly they're overpaying him, I think their boosters are fine slinging some cash around.

Maybe, but their AD said they don’t currently have enough money to pay him his salary. Colorado isn’t exactly Texas when it comes to slinging football money.

I think it will be a culture shock for everyone but could be good to humble the program. It was obvious the team was ready for a superstar coach to come in and fix everything with a magic wand but got smacked in the face when he actually explained that it takes work to do it.

his off-season will be rough for sure as he sees who actually wants to work. Lots of discipline to be laid down in order to have a foundation to build upon. Prime is going to hit that portal hard and fast to get disciplined players from programs that want to start immediately.

You may laugh now, but I think he's done a damned good job so far. He may be a monster.

Good job at what? He gave a mind numbing speech and told his whole team to transfer out…

I agree with you.

The speech to the players was 100% a personal challenge. Step up your game and compete for your position, man the frick up, get onboard or get out. He's bringing his luggage and it's loaded (QB +10 players) who as he said, "are dogs, they hungry and they gon' eat", so every CU player will have to earn their spot because they will be challenged.

The whole scripted speech (sermon) and all the "I'm coming" the rhythm & rhyme BS could've been shelved, but he got is message across.

It was hard to watch. I stopped watching after a few minutes.

Edit: with that said, I hope he does really well at Colorado.

My biggest issue with it.... it was about Deion ...NOT about CU.
going back to mid season .... I thought he was SWAC? I mean that's what he said.
Guess now he's Pac-12.
