The "I'm comin'" was a schtick that wouldn't work on adults, but it seemed to send a pretty good message to the team. I think it hit well with them. He will be tearing down every last one of them and molding them into the player he expects to fit in his culture. It was a fear of God speech, similar to a drill instructor, that will work on certain players. Those who won't work out will just quit, which he wants to happen.

I thought his press conference was great...made me want to go buy Colorado season tickets.

That being said... Colorado isn't an overnight fix, BUT with the portal these days and his whole limelight with the media and recruiting, he could have Colorado competitive in a couple of seasons...which they haven't been for awhile. Colorado was a legitimate great program years ago under Bill McCartney in the early 90s... obviously splitting the 1990 NC. I remember Bama beating Colorado the following year in the Blockbuster Bowl. The culture there may now be so left-wing woke that it's going to be a culture shock for Sanders...but at least people are talking about Colorado football for now.

A guy like Prime likely will go out and do something really stupid. If he does not I will be shocked.

I have no idea what kind of coach he will be at the P5 level.

Colorado is so far down there is no way for them to go other than up.

I didn't hear about this stuff, and I don't know if this is a troll; but if true, I can believe it made a difference.

Primetime wasn't in the 'hood at Fla St, the NFL, or while working as a commentator/announcer. He made money and a standard of living, and you'd expect he would want to provide better for his family. On merely a social level, if you could make a couple million a year to get out of Jackson MS, and move to Colorado, why would you not?

He is 100% self-serving. His preacher coach bullshite is gonna start wearing thin, as he doesn't live what he preaches.

CU went 1-11. Bar is set low so if Prime can get some decent recruits and win 6-7 games in a shitty PAC12 conference he will look great

I think he can do that

Can't decide if he wants to be a coach or one of those spoken word poets.

Turned the team meeting off after "I'm comin" number 25.

I think he’s going to turn Colorado into a decent team pretty soon.

Deion's all about Deion........and money. Always has been, and always will be. He's a total fraud.

The problem with the way he acts is it’s all fun and games if you are winning. The minute you struggle it makes everything 10x worse.

Nothing like a new coach coming in and encouraging kids to jump in portal, followed by telling them before they even step on the practice field that some spots are already locked down because he is bringing some of his baggage and it's Louie? Clearly just wanting to take this step to showcase his son at a higher level and try to get him in Heisman convo. Another nugget was telling the team how they wouldn't be wearing no hats at meetings (meanwhile the coach is wearing a hat) This would be a great reality show but nothing more in my opinion.

I'm from Jackson. Can confirm, this is very true. He honestly couldn't stand Jackson which is on par with everybody that's ever lived in Jackson or surrounding areas.

This is the case with a lot of top coaches though... Saban does the tough guy thing with media/players etc but if he wasn't winning he'd just be a dick like Harsin was.

Personally - unless I was the QB, in which case you have no chance of sniffing the field, I'd want to step up and compete for a spot.

Will be interesting to see if Hunter goes with Deion or hops to a higher tier program.

It's absolutely true. Someone stole a boombox out of Deion's car. Word got around it was Prime's and the boombox showed back up. Someone was caught stealing out of Deion's bag DURING A GAME. Someone also cut out his son's car window during a practice. Like cut it out Ocean's 11 style. So there have been several incidents.

He basically told the team to not wear hats as he wore a hat himself.

Then told them to hit the portal

Then told the qbs you lost your job to my son regardless.

I see a very divided locker room.

I bet he's going to be hitting the portal hard and is trying to cut the dead weight.

Considering his son was named starting QB yesterday I think it’s a great fit for him and his family. He held a team meeting and told the team they should transfer out bc he’s bringing in his guys. I live in Colorado. This is HUGE

Deion is such a unique person that it would not surprise me to see him have success. He's walked the walk the young kids are being drawn to him like the pied piper.

Prime is perfect for the NIL/Portal era. He can sell the sizzle. It's not about playing for CU, it's about playing for coach prime.
