I must've missed the post where anyone defended our defense (pun unintended).
Trust me: If anyone recognizes how craptastic our D is this year, it's Ags/Aggie fans.
Obviously it remains to be seen what next year will bring; but the apocalyptic-caliber predictions of A&M's demise seem a tad premature.
I'm giddy as hell over last year's & this years's recruiting classes.

Danielson did diss A&M pretty hard when he said "a gain of 5 yards against A&M is almost a bad play this year."

Just harsh Danielson

Until Sumlin does anything remotely accomplished in his coaching career without a QB named Keenum or Manziel, I will believe he is a man riding coattails and living a charmed life.

Seeing how those are the only two QBs he's had, why is that a more reasonable approach than assuming he's simply great at developing and sustaining good QB play?

I guess we'll all find out next season.

Oh.

Well there's a reasonable thought.

Yep. This is true. They're amazing players.

But still doesn't change the fact that Sumlin is likely to cause some serious pain and disappointment to your cult when everyone finds out he is a complete fraud of a coach.

Also, nice swipe at our stadium. Very well done and incredible originality. Considering our state has 3 million people to your 27 million and you only have 20,000 more seats than us, I can live with that.

If the Kyle Allen kid is as good as they say...Sumlin's offense wont miss a beat....Kenny Hill was 8th ranked dual threat QB he snagged last yr too...he will have some talent to work with...not to mention Seals-Jones will be back next yr

Manziel is the best I've ever seen but you've got to wonder what the Hell their coaches do. Their entire offense is basically Johnny getting the ball and running around until he throws it. It's just a glorified backyard football. We already know their defensive coordinator obviously doesn't do anything.

I think losing Kliff Kingsbury has hurt some with the play calling. Dude is a damn good OC and doing a great job at TTU right now, they're 7-0 for the first time in school history.

Your brush with lucid thinking has lapsed.

How unfortunate.

Their back-up QB is not close to having the ability to move like JFF. He looked like a straight pocket passer.

Matt Joeckel isn't the backup. He's the EMERGENCY QB.

#7 Kenny Hill is the backup.

Except that Sumlin had more wins in his one bad season at Houston than Gene Chizik had his entire tenure at Iowa State.

Why didn't King of the Hill play when JFF was injured?

I fail to see how what Chizik did at Auburn has anything at all to do with what Sumin does at Texas A&M.

I'm sorry your coach didn't work out; but it's a non sequitur in terms of TAMU.

True freshman.

I think Sumlin is trying to protect his mental development. Joeckel also has better grasp of the offense.

But there's no question Hill is a long-term answer, if one is needed (this season).

Otherwise you'll see Hill and Kyle Allen battle for the job this offseason.
