I didn't mean for that to be mean bruh. Of course Sophomores going in early are not common. However, Johnny is not common and he has a Heisman and on track for a 2nd one (losses may not help him win it even though that shouldn't matter). He was injured some yesterday, and he is ready to move up.

He is ready to make his money and see what he can do in the NFL. No real reason for him to remain in college. It wouldn't help his draft stock and if he has a bad year or injured it hurts him. His stock is as high as it will ever be really. Risk is not worth a Jr year campaign. Think Clowney this year. He was a sure shot #1, but he has hurt his reputation this year some.

Why do people think Manziel will leave after his sophomore year?

He's gone.

Every one of our insiders concedes this without hesitation.

Your premise would have some merit if teams never recruited and/or no team ever had to replace great players.

It happens. Frequently.

No a Manziel type QB isn't a regular thing, and we've all seen teams drop off considerably when that type of QB leaves.

Yeah, I honestly didn't realize anyone still thought otherwise.
At the risk of sounding lame as frick, it's been an honor watching him over the past couple of years. We'll never see another like him.

How bad is Texas A&M going to be in 2012 on offense after losing their starting QB (Ryan Tannehill), all-time leading receiver (Jeff Fuller), 2-time 1,000 yard rusher (Cyrus Gray)?

They'll never find a receiver to replace Swope.

I'm curious how well Ole Miss, LSU, ANYONE....would fare if their 3rd string QB (true fish) was thrust into the starting role part way through the 3rd game of the season?

well, LSU had 5 different starting QBs from the last game of 2007 to the 11th game of 2012. LSU still managed to go 8-5 in a much more difficult conference than CUSA.
Matt Flynn - 5th year national champion starter
Ryan Perrilloux - booted from team in the summer leading up to the season
Andrew Hatch - a transfer walk-on from fricking Harvard
Jarrett Lee - redshirt freshman
Jordan Jefferson - true freshman and one of the worst QBs in LSU history

i look at it more like lattimore and barkley. barkley could have been a first round pick had he come out after his junior year, injured his shoulder, and fell way down in the draft. and we all know how shitty lattimore's luck has been.
