Meh, in the past, they've reminded me of a more subdued Bama fanbase.

That water bottle throwing thing was pretty bad and sets a bad precedent.

Overall, Texas fans are decent in my book.

Yeah. Imagine if the SEC demanded all fans who stormed the field after a win to be banned for the rest of the season...

Imagine being so stupid and trashy that you trash your own fricking field.

It is so strange seeing a Georgia fan talk about class knowing that all Georgians are trash.
So let me get this straight ...

It's okay for the the Head Coach to accost and physically attack an opposing football player during a game, but

It's not okay for a fan to throw a water bottle on the ground during a time out.

Got it.

Fortunately, Texas have had an ad campaign against littering since the 80's.

Don't Mess WIth Texas!

Fair point. I would ask Texas fans if the passion would have been so hot if the opponent had been Kansas or Iowa St?

Texas fans are part of a conference where passions run high. Just have to have limit on those feelings so no one gets hurt.

Texas became SEC Saturday night by showing how passionate they are. Just in future keep it to mother f@#$&er and POS screams and yelling, no throwing.

Unfortunately UTrans put their own spin on the ad campaign

"The SEC has issued a financial penalty for Ole Miss after some unruly fan behavior during this past Saturday's win over the LSU Tigers.

Ole Miss will lose $75,000 from its share of the SEC’s revenue distribution due to Rebel fans throwing trash and debris on the field after a controversial call in the fourth quarter."

There are a ton of TX fans so law of averages says there will be few extra dumbasses. Just like every fan base has.
Most of the fans I know were very worried about this past game. I am worried about all remaining games.

Yeah I guess they all just happened to show up to the game Saturday

Everyone else is cool

I’ll speak from experience, Texas fans have a different type of arrogance and entitlement about them. It’s similar to A&M was after that monster recruiting class, but A&M backed down pretty quickly when it fell apart and has also been in the SEC for a while, and a better cultural fit, their annoyance is a little less perturbing.

Bama fans are also arrogant, but it’s strictly about football. Texas arrogance is repulsive. Bama entitlement is more about “what they’ve done” on the field and Texas entitlement is more about “who they are” (which is nobody… it’s been 20 years, fellas)… as if we should all get on our knees because the great Texas, which has been far less relevant than Florida in my lifetime, graced the SEC with their presence.

Texas is not a cultural fit as it is and “Texas type arrogance” is all the more annoying because of it.

TX and OM fans are basically kin. They tend to be rich, kind of snobbish and believe in their DNA that they are just better than everyone around them. It's even worse with the younger generation.

I have however never seen a tantrum like that out of the fanbase at DKR in more than thirty years of watching them play. It was eye opening

When Texas fans came to Oxford back in 2012, they were pretty cool, unlike the A&M fans that decided to do self enemas in the stands.

Like I said, kin. It's okay, I don't expect OM fans to associate with any hard-working group at all. I think most of them are trust fund babies

I did see an OM license plate at the Mi Cocina's in Highland Park Village parked out front of the Audemars Piguet store and thought to myself "hm, maybe they aren't so bad like dumb aggy".

They (the refs) reversed a call because the coaching staff and the fans accosted the refs and the opposing team.

Sir.. I’m 65 and attended DSOR since 12. Dawg family in Monroe, Social Circle.
My point…..

I have never known Hairy Dawg to waste a good beer!

Take that arse whipping and “L” and get ready for Vandy. Welcome to the SEC!

Yeah but they have to bring that false bravado into the Classic City where we haven’t lost in this decade.
