AND...we are 13th in the nation in time of possession
That's no accident - Sam wants it and Bobby is delivering it
obviously helps the defense
ETA: 29th in the nation in rushing offense

Offense worse than last year, but still really fricking good.
Defense better than last year, but still really fricking bad.

Florida gonna play up and you will be stuck with Napier for a while longer.

I wasn’t trying to be negative, just my honest assessment. They’ve looked good in the second half of their last 2 games, but have struggled to get it going in the first half. They could easily turn it around by the time we play them.

A&M catching their stride. Good defense and getting better offense. Gonna take care of Carolina and LSU and the others and will be staring at the #1 team Texas for the last game of the season. If A&M wins???

Auburn is stupid with the football. The team has potential and the defense is keeping them in games. QBs are trash obviously but we are finally using the running game more. We do not know how to close. That’s inept coaching. We might catch an SEC team napping and pull off a 4-8 season. We will see.
Many young players competing and making plays is the only positive…

We have a really good, deep team. We have 7 SEC games left and I feel like we will go 5-2 or 6-1 with an outside chance at 12-0, but every game on the schedule could be lost or won. Even Florida.
The game plan Vandy used to beat Alabama i was pretty much the exact same as the one Miss State used against us. Ball control. TOP. Hope for a few mistakes and capitalize, and hope to have a chance in the 4th Quarter.
We need to win this week and get the monkey off our back until we play them again next year.
Schedule
OU
GA
at the team that beat AL
bye
Florida
at a rival who beat TN
the team that beat Ole Miss
at a rival who whipped MIZ
We will know a lot more about Texas in 2-3 weeks.

Honest assessment of your team after Week 6
"What if..."
That's the overwhelming feeling for me today. What if we played relatively mistake-free games against OkSt and aTm like we did last night? We would most likely be 6-0 and in darkhorse playoff talk. Instead we're stuck - yet again - with a couple close losses against good teams that easily could've been wins that were right there for the taking.
It's nice beating Tennessee, per usual. But man the regrets and "what ifs" are lingering over like a dark cloud

Good start to season
-unfortunate we haven’t been able to run the ball better as the Baxter injury definitely hurt us here but so long as the short passing game can continue to be used as as an extension of the running game, we should be fine
-the receiving corp is better than last season even with X and Mitchell gone. It doesn’t matter who the defense tries to cover, we go 5 or 6 deep and every guy can make the D pay. Not to mention Helm has also emerged as an Elite TE. Too many guys to cover and it’s a mathematical problem for defenses.
-Oline could be the best pass blocking unit in the nation but still struggles at times to get push in the run game. Stronger in the gap/counter game
-what a luxury it is to likely have 2 top 15 QBs in CFB and Quinn has taken a leap from last year. Experience at QB is really crucial as we saw with Nico last night
-would like to see us reduce number of turnovers and collect more on defense. If we play clean, no one can beat us, but we get sloppy with the ball anyone is capable of upsetting us
-Defense appears improved though hasn’t been tested. This is especially true for the pass defense
-the run defense is still a concern of mine until we face better competition, which we will. The fear would be being too leaky in run defense allowing opponents to game control us and keep our explosive offense off the field

Very good and honest assessment!

We execute bad plans at a low level.
We don’t excel at blocking or tackling.
There are some really good players on this team like Faulk and Chapman.

We suck more than Kamala Harris trying to get a high-level job.

No worries, not trying to pick on you, just that anything negative gets an argument going, and I would rather folks just talk about their team, rather than the normal back and forth. You are good.

Same thing I’ve said since the end of our loss to USCe. No way to tell until we see how they play against OM.

Honestly, it’s still too early to say about LSU. The defense looks a good bit better than last year, but we really haven’t played a good offense yet. Certainly not an Ole Miss or an Alabama.

I generally agree with what’s posted above.
I like Sarks description of Texas practices; Fast and violent. I think most will be surprised how physical Texas plays.
We haven’t played a passing team yet, which has kept our pass rusher’s on the line. Our DB’s won’t face better WR’s than what they see in practice every day.
I really like our depth, getting 75-80 players in a game. That will be important as the season goes on.
The QB-Coach helmet com’s probably helps QE & Texas as much as anybody. The pre snap reads and motion before the snap has guys running one-on-one over the field,
