For Florida, this is about how I expected. I thought a 10 to 15 point loss, but games can get fricky in the end so this one got close but Tennessee could have pulled away if they had gotten the breaks.

Our defense is bad bad bad, and I don't mean in a Leroy Brown kind of way. AR looked about like I expected, some good throws and some not so good, but not alot of absolute shite plays. I don't think he sees the field well yet, but maybe that will improve. He is still lazy with his footwork probably because he is so strong he doesn't set his feet all the time and it makes some throws off target rather than right in the bread basket. I saw improvement, but he isn't a good enough passer to win vs tough teams and teams know this so they focus on stopping the run.

It's going to be a long season with lots of ups and downs.

We seem to be making improvement from week to week, which is all any reasonable fan should expect this year. We're about to enter the SEC gauntlet so it remains to be seen how competitive we will be in conference play this year.

Our football isn't "too complicated"...it's just shite.

Good enough to win some games and get to a decent bowl.

Not good enough to do much more than that.

We'll know a little more about Kentucky about 4:00 PM on Saturday.

The offensive line looks like shite. Some of that is a QB that has got too greedy and read too much of his own press. Some is an injured and suspended RB room that removed the two backs that can run through incidental contact. Some of it is an OC that is pretty stingy with his play calls, trying to play it close to the vest. And some of it is an offensive line that isn't as good as last year, replacing three starters.

My gut feel ? If the line gets to Ole Miss -7.5 ? Take Kentucky and the points, heavy. I will.

Dawgs played about as well as we could expect.

Right? Really, I feel like we were lucky to get out of Sanford with a win. That's the best team in Ohio that we were playing.

Offense is wild. I almost expected a TD every possession against Florida. I’ve never had the feeling against them my entire life. Our front 6 is pretty respectable but our secondary is capable of making us lose to teams we shouldn’t.

It looks like we found out punt returner in Bech. Kicking game is a shaky as I ever remember it being, we've been kind of spoiled with solid-great kicking for as long as I can remember, and it's going to cost us somewhere down the line I unfortunately have that feeling (kinda already has against FSU).

We took care of business against Southern and New Mexico. I'm glad we dominated both those games but they're not a good measuring stick compared to SEC play. The Mississippi St game was promising because I think they're a good but not great team and after a shaky start we outscored them 31-3 to end the game.

Auburn I'm just hoping for a win because winning in Jordan Hare is never a given for us. Oct 8 when Hooker and Tennessee come to town is where we'll see how good our defense really is. If they can slow him down and keep that Tennessee offense contained then I'll feel much better about the rest of the year.

Same problems as 2021: Coaching issues, cohesive issues, culture issues, and effort issues. If anything, Hudson Card and the kicker have been the only players that have consistently given a winning effort.

I'm still a ways away from quitting on Sark at this juncture, but I also remember fans making the same excuse about Charlie Strong with these kinds of losses and the typical "they're so close, they just need to turn the corner" sentiment.

Tennessee's offense is the real deal. Hooker is a great college quarterback.

Our secondary is atrocious and our special teams could lose us a game this year (blocked punt, muffed punt, and an onside recovered against us so far).

Dawgs look very strong, and it’s likely we represent the East in this years SECCG

This last game was really a gift to Kirby; I expect he will use it as a tool to remind the team that that can’t sleep in anyone…

I can't take much away from Saturday. Bama is 50+ points better than Vanderbilt. But the question is how bad is Vandy? And the real question is how bad are the three teams they beat?

Very optimistic about the defense.

Cautiously optimistic about the offense.

Cautiously pessimistic about special teams.

We lacked that killer instinct and instead of keeping our foot on the gas we decided to frick around and it cost us the game.
