Honest assessment of your team after Saturday's game

We're showing improvement week to week and even quarter to quarter which was the main thing I really wanted. I'm hoping to see continued improvement; my goal this year is bowl eligibility.

All we have to do is get a TD every time we possess the ball. If our defense can get at least two stops, then we are guaranteed to win every game. (Joking)

Offense is the best I’ve ever seen it. Front seven is decent. Our secondary is a huge problem.

If there was a sport where the purpose would be to find new and creative ways to continually lower the impossibly low bar, Mizzou would be the Alabama of that sport.

Gradually getting better. Turns out that the Miami win wasn't as good as their #13 ranking suggested, but getting past Arky, albeit in ugly fashion, was huge. I really think we'll beat State, but just don't quite have the juice to beat Bama yet, especially without Ainias. The rest of the schedule, aside from UMASS, Auburn, and Cackalacky, look like winnable toss-ups right now.

Our D is really good when they are dialed in and communicating well. Been surprised by CB play, especially Valentine. LBs are really good. D-line has flashed here and there. I wonder if White will dial up more stunts and pressures and blitzes, or will we basically try and keep everything in front of us per usual, as we enter SEC play?

The Oline struggles are well documented, but I think the run game will get better with CRod back, especially if his only facing one tackler at any given moment—- dude just doesn’t go down with one hit. Will has got to look to his check downs more quickly. He’s done better at that this year, but he’s still prone to try and get a chunkier play when an easy 5-8 yards is available immediately. Our WRs have not disappointed, and out TEs have done pretty good receiving, but kinda meh on blocking.

I’m excited for the Ole Miss game to see if the Cats have the chops to steal a win in Oxford. Should be a helluva game.

Tennessee's offense can score on ANYBODY!

The Tennessee School for the Blind could torch our secondary for at least 400 yards. They probably wouldn't get but 100 or so rushing.

We're doomed. Cursed by the football gods to wander between the winds. Look upon us, and know despair.

Rebs were in an obvious look-ahead spot. It’s Kentucky. Playing at home. Favored by a TD for a reason against a top 10 team.

I’d asses my Auburn Tigers as being just below dog shite if not for the fact that to do so would be an egregious insult to dog shite.

I must say, I’m pleasantly surprised at the honest assessments in this thread.

Our defense sucks. The D line sucks. The LB's suck (except Ventrell Miller)
Trey Dean is quite possibly the worst, dumbest player in the history of college football. He consistently fails to cover his responsibility. He's too busy peaking at the QB.

I predicted 6 wins being the first year of a new staff with a new QB and several new starters, transfers n Freshmen ect. Especially with the first 4 games we had coming straight out the gate.

OL is solid as it’s been in a long time, even with a transfer playing Guard and a new RT
QB play needs consistency
WRs and TEs are steady but not much to write home about.
RBs we have a young stud in ETN.
DL is a work in progress. Some young guys like McClellen and Dez will be a force once they get experience.
LB needs upgrading as does Safety. James will be a stud
CBs will be solid once Hill comes back from injury.

LSU is about what I expected. We have lots of weaknesses on the field but thankfully there are signs of improvement. I believe we might win a game we shouldn’t and we’ve already lost one we shouldn’t. Still feel like 8-4 is our ceiling.

Honest assessment - pour me a double shot of Mr. Jack. A blood pressure pill would be helpful as well.
