For years, it was one Mr. Bill Battle that would find you and sue you if you used an SEC team's name in an unlicensed manner.

See, this is how it is done. Take notes Tom.

This is his actual one and only BCS game worn jersey!! It is NOT a replica or reproduction, It is NOT a fake. It will pass ANY 3rd party authentication service. Completely 100% Authentic! It was obtained by me directly from a meeting with the player. He is a great guy and is still super popular!! I have to keep his identity covered per his request but you will not be disappointed in his identity!

I think Albetar is sketchy but he isnt doing anything illegal and our players arent committing any major violations, so I couldnt give a shite less.
I just don't give a crap who sells what, who signs what, and who is stupid enough to pay $1,200 for a pair of Kenyan Drake's sweaty gloves.

UA just lost a long (and expensive, if I had to guess) case where they tried going after Dan Moore. They probably don't have the want to try it again.

You're okay with the fact that it seems your school is committing violations (using current players to endorse a business is an NCAA violation)?
As an AU fan, I wanted to get to the bottom of the Cam allegations. If anyone did anything wrong and evidence was found, I wanted them to be punished and for everyone to shut up about it.
Turns out nothing was found except internet allegations, so I was okay with it.
I think the thing that bugs other fans is that the NCAA is not investigating a "potential" violation. No evidence was ever brought forward that Cam or his father took money from Auburn, but the NCAA stuck around months and months trying to find proof.
Why is there not an investigation to find proof of what looks like violations? If a disassociated booster from ANY other school is AGAIN doing the same things with a different set of players, there is going to be an outcry and news stories and possibly investigations.
Really, this should just open the door for active paying of players and breaking rules by everyone. And I guess it has. Some are more blatant than others. Glad you're proud of it.

The NCAA could suspend players.
The NCAA could go after Alabama if they knew players were selling gear and didn't actively stop it. That's how Ohio State got in trouble.
I don't disagree, and all the previous posts talking about what to do about the goofus selling the stuff miss the point completely. The trouble is the NCAA is guilty of exactly the same "crime", or was before Jay Bilas exposed them. It would be hugely hypocritical to put sanctions on a player or a team when the NCAA has done exactly the same thing. I don't think they can get that horse back in the barn.

Moores case was a little different as I believe the argument was he was just depicting scenes from publicly available photos. I may be wrong

How in the hell has the NCAA not done anything about this? I mean it is getting to the point where it is laughable. Are there rules anymore?
Yes, there are rules. And the NCAA has broken them.

My thoughts exactly. I don't get adults clamoring for an autograph.

There was an investigation earlier with this/him.

so be it. If they are new players that are doing the same as the past players, then nothing to worry about

You okay with this? From a couple of posts up.

What player on Alabama's football team is profiting from this?

Are you honestly trying to argue that the NCAA just let's Alabama do whatever the hell it wants? If anything, the last 20 years proves the NCAA is more than happy to throw the book at Alabama. The Langham case was no worse than the Ohio State case but Alabama got punished WAY WAY worse than Ohio State did. Alabama got absolutely hammered in the Albert Means case. Alabama also had to vacate 20 wins for committing the exact same violations that Nebraska recently admitted to. Nebraska got no penalty though.
Auburn (scholarship wise) got a slap on the wrist for the Eric Ramsey/multiple player pay for play scandal and since then dodged violations where their own head coach and even players admitted to receiving illegal benefits.
Who exactly is getting away with stuff here?
