I wish there was published prices for these players out there...that way we could know if this is a good deal or not.
Who knows what the going rate is for a Freshman SEC QB who did pretty good. I do know this...If him and Arnold were the same price I'd just keep MVB and run it back again and spend my money on a defense.

It’s true. Lebby has a long history of preparing QBs for the NFL.

Also stated there is a chance he red shirts at MSU his first season and Shapen will be back???
Would be pointless. KaMario is better talent and he'd be back at square zero again.
I don't think he is. Arnold was a top 10 player in the nation, #4 QB rated 99
As a Prospect 247Sports 99
Natl. 10
QB 4
That's not to say KaMario is not going to be great, but he's not playing over Arnold who has been in the system and was hand picked by Lebby.
Arnold will have 2 years to play.

That's going by Arnold the prospect and not Arnold the player that we've already watched play.

62.6% is greater than 54.7%
12 TDs to 3 ints is greater than 11 TDs to 7 Ints (not counting the fumbles)
444 yards on the ground is better than -12.
This was Arnold's first year starting and the OU fans have already told you how bad the WR corp was due to injuries:
Jayden Gibson
Tore his patellar tendon during preseason and had season-ending surgery in August. Venables said it could take up to a year for Gibson to return to full speed.
Nic Anderson
Injured on September 21.
ETC...
Here is a headline from the Alabama game:
Oklahoma (5-5, 1-5 SEC) will be without its primary five receivers against No. 7 Alabama (8-2, 4-2) as well as six other players.
Jayden Gibson Knee
Nic Anderson Torn quad
Andrel Anthony Torn ACL
Deion Burks
Jalil Farooq

What a time to be alive.
Jackson Arnold in years past would have transferred to MSU sat a year and then rode off into the sunset after a mediocre and disappointing college career. Now he becomes a millionaire off his mediocrity.
Some of y'all are sleeping on Arnold. He had the worst O line in the conference and his top 5 WR were hurt all year. How in the world can you say he sucks? He might but you can't definitely say that. I'd take him in Oxford. His peak best case scenario is Baker Mayfield.

My gut tells me Kamario Taylor is our QB of the future and Lebby will bring Arnold in for 1-2 years. I believe MVB is done at MSU.

Hey I'm thrilled for you guys. Having played against both this year, I'd rather face JA. It's not like he's walking into a treasure trove of talent at MSU.

That's not the point I was making. I was saying it doesn't make any sense for MVB to stay if we get Arnold, because MVB would still have to compete with KaMario once Arnold's time at State would be over. I might've simply misunderstood who you were referring to as potential redshirt.

if he and Arnold are the same price, you have the same pool of money left over for defense...your math ain't mathin'
Arnold is better than MVB, if they are the same price, you go all in on Arnold, especially if you think KaMario is going to be the future.

I've been told Michael Van Buren is a prima donna by Yancy Porter. Will probably end up back at Univ of Maryland.

That’s one rumor amount, and would like to keep the guy, but no. Not when you are a raw true sophomore who has won one game.

He looked bad in their bowl game too.
With a good OLine and all of those receivers he turned the ball over 4 times.
