Would be kind of funny if he bumped Rashada out.

Meh. I know he's got talent, but his stats were worse that a lot of other freshman in the conference this year. As a developmental guy, of course I'd take him. He's talented. But I wouldn't promise him a starting job and I'm guessing he'd want that if he left UF.

I know you have all the 50% completion stats and what not. But he is better than anything we have after Beck.

Gunner is only a slightly more polished BVG. That’s bad btw.

Obviously. The only reason he ended up at UF was NIL. Pay to get him. Pay more to keep him.

I think he’s being over hyped but how many other true freshmen are playing as much as him this season?

Why would they leave $ on the table?

Because everything isn’t always 100% about money.

This is what makes the current state of NIL unsustainable.

The number of schools that can pay seven figures for multiple/many players isn’t that large.

The number of schools who can constantly re-up that number every year to keep players from bolting is even smaller.

By hear, he means he read it when he typed it out.

For a 19 year old professional football player who's got people in his ear, it's entirely about the $.

Even listening increases potential sophomore earnings. Nobody wants to be seen as the program who can't/won't match the best offers for their young talent. Agents know this and leverage it accordingly.

This is what is wrong with this site, posters like this just make up shite and it becomes a multiple page thread. BS, another butt hurt LSU fan, probably still mad over 16-10.

Gunner hasn't taken a meaningful snap, but neither had Beck when he took over. If the coaches are comfortable with him as the first option for next year than I'm fine with it. They already brought in a QB with a high recruiting ranking and but minimal on-field results in Jalen Rashada.

If the coaches feel like they need to get another QB, they need to aim for someone with production, not just another highly ranked recruit with little production but "upside".

We've already got lots of upside if we're going to take that gamble.

He has the same thickness that Beck had the year before he took over as the starter. Is that really a primary concern for you?

A lot riskier than DJ. He’s played in the SEC and won.
We aren’t getting him but it’s silly to pretend he wouldn’t be our day 1 stater next year.
