I work as a financial consultant. There was this OTackle from Ole Miss this last year that I gave a lot of advances to so I could sign him later and get commission on. I thought we were close, I gave him a phone to use for a while even. Well he ended our contract before the draft and I asked for the phone back.

Boy did I get him back though.

Well, lemme put it this way, if I had first hand knowledge of some egregious recruiting tactics at Tennessee (not saying I do or do not), I sure as frick wouldn't tell this board about it.

thiiiiiiiis. This X1000. You're going to hear general stories, but no one is going to assign it to there school or a specific player (unless they are talking about that specific player and what a different school did).

Google "TennStud". His postings/braggings indirectly led to issues for other schools.

You know how the rumor mill works. I tell the board I personally saw Fulmer hand German bearer bonds to Dante Stallworth while stroking his imaginary beard and laughing like a Disney villain, and I sound credible (in fact, I'm the most credible poster in rant history), and all the sudden, Ice Cold is ratting me out to the NCAA, TT9 and cajunbama are emailing the compliance office daily, Cobb_Dawg is faxing the Commissioner, Auburnphan is sending smoke signals and calling me retarded.

I ain't got time for that shite

I have. I guess this is considered cheating even though I'm not affiliated with the university of South Carolina accept for being a season ticket holder.

I once gave rb Demetrius Summers a $100 handshake. His mother worked the cash register at the gas station in my neighborhood. I gave him the money, thanked him for choosing the Gamecocks and told him to use to take his gf to dinner on me.

I have, a long time ago while working my way through college at a car lot I was told every time I clock out for lunch to also clock in another code then when I came back from lunch I also clocked out a different code. I didn't know WHO the other people were, but a few of my friends were told the same thing and we knew that a few football players also worked at that car lot and rarely saw them. I doubt they made unreasonable amounts of money, but it was pretty clearly extra benefits.

On the other hand though, my cousin was a grad assistant on the basketball team and a few of the basketball players hung out with us and they often paid for stuff with pretty clearly their last $20. This was all when we were way better at basketball than football too.

Yes. I was there when Johnny raped Arkansas with 556 yards in 2012. Not only did I do nothing, but I cheered the vicious crime.

I have not partook but I have had players from a couple state of alabama schools tell me about the bidding wars that went on for them. One great former bama lineman from early 90s told me the "big 6" literally would converse with each other on what their latest bid was for his services. He said it was literally an auction

Would pick up players vehicle for service and return vehicle to player once finished.
Inside glove box would be his "invoice" for services due, along with some pocket money.

Another player had a mom who worked as a waitress. Once a week a group would eat and leave a large tip afterwards.

What do you consider cheating? If an act is perpetrated by the school or it's specifically known by employees of the school and nothing is done about it, that's one thing. If something is done by random fans who aren't affiliated with the school other than just being fans, then that's another thing. There is no way to institutionally control the latter.

Unfortunately, I must admit I'm weak and indulge from time to time. I keep the details to myself.
