The thing that was so great about the Coryatt hit was twofold:

1. He never left his feet.

2. It looked like the receiver ran headfirst into a wall.

My roommate was friend with the TCU player; they grew up together. We were going apeshit after the hit and he was just quiet as his friend just got blowed up on national tv.

I've worked out with Coryatt, and I've never seen a stronger man. Just a beast.

Dial may have replaced Dareus as my favorite Bama player.

but seriously, dial hitting murray is about as hard as you can be hit

Warren Sapp destroying Chad Clifton, a 330 pounder blind siding a 330 pounder at full speed was brutal.

Kurt Warner getting destroyed on an INT return against the saints

Jarvis Williams' hit on Mel Bratton.
I don't know who the other gator was that is behind Bratton during the hit (Possibly A.R. White?), but it was a definite guillotine style hit.

There was no love in this series. Both teams hated each other when this rivalry was played yearly.
yep, this one was brutal.

here it is again:

i liked this quote, because it does look that way:

he hit him so hard it made the other guy magically appear from another dimension.

2004, Junior Rosegreen lit up Reggie Brown. Knocked him cold arse out. Was a dangerous play actually for both. Helmet to helmet contact that is not legal now. Scare shite out of me when it happened. I thought brown was dead.

REGGIE GETS CRUNKED

Also check out a hit by an Ohio State player on Stacy Danley in one of the Orlando bowl games in the 1980's (89?) that I think Danley still has ringing in his ears from.

Clowney's hit was legit, but I don't think you can top this one:

Closest I've ever seen was 2008 when Peria Jerry took off the head of Alabama's Glen Coffey. It actually looked about identical to this except he came from the NT position rather than the end. The play followed a Dexter McCluster fumble and gave the ball right back to Ole Miss.
