I agree that a "wait and see" approach is best, but we shouldn't forget that he found and recruited Mariota. I wasn't sold on him last year, but he's made great calls with playcalling, roster changeups, hiring assistants and more.

re: Mariota Heisman Hedge

Spoken like someone who has never seen Mariota play.

Gordon is incredible and would win the Heisman most years. Cooper is definitely the best WR out there and is a game-changer. This year, though, belongs to Mariota. His stats are incredible.

As for the bet, my advice would be don't hedge.

It's the same old song and dance with the PAC 12. Always hyped, always shite the bed. History has proven this, and until that changes you west coast folks should just settle the frick down until you win something of relavance.

Yet somehow a one-loss Georgia team that almost lost to terrible Tennessee was somehow still in the NC hunt. Depth was the reason the Ducks struggled in 2007, 2009 and even 2010 to some extent. They now have the depth to compete and persevere.

And they haven't won the big one, but I've been loving the four years of BCS bowls, even when we lost.

Where to stream the game....

I'm overseas and my satellite TV just took a dump. If anyone finds working links to the game, I would <3 u 4ever!!!11

ESPN3 doesn't work either since I'm not at an approved ISP. Unless you know a workaround of course....

Here's to a good game!

Maybe true, but you can't win a national championship if you're not consistently pulling in Top10 recruiting classes every year. It's a proven fact over the last 10 years.

Obviously you can, because it's either Oregon or Auburn this year and neither consistently pulls in top 10 talent. Oregon's best class was last year's, and it was 13th according to Rivals. Auburn had a #4 class but that's not the norm, and they pulled in a few (lol) surprise recruits.

actually they play nine in the conference but point taken.

And whoever said three bowl-eligible teams is wrong. It's four and that's not counting USC.
Thank you Crowton, for a) leaving, and b) recommending Chip Kelly!

How could they stop him from going to the games?

A little phrase called "We have the right to refuse service to anyone."

The SEC WEST has more bowl eligbile teams than the entire Pac 10 conference. We cannibalize ourselves. He is just butthurt his Boise St. bus is gone.

The Pac-10 cannibalizes itself more than any other conference because of its 9 conference game slate.

Ted Miller is the Pac-10 blogger on ESPN, he is from SEC country but does a great job with the Pac-10 beat. He has a great write-up on how the Pac-10 beats itself up and what it has to overcome: ESPN Link

It has a sensationalist headline but he readily admits that a few paragraphs in. Regardless of your opinion on the Pac-10, I would recommend reading it.

Having said that, it's definitely a funny year for the Pac-10. You know how Georgia was a little schizophrenic this year? That's how Cal, Oregon St, Arizona, Washington and USC all played. For the first 8 games, Cal beat down opponents at home and got beat down on the road. OSU beat highly ranked Arizona, lost to Washington, beat down Cal, lost to UCLA and Washington St (lol), crushed USC and then got blanked by Stanford. Very weird season, and the cannibalization is worse than usual this year.

That was mutual, fwiw. After they travelled to UTK, they didn't want to make the same kind of cross-country trip...and we didn't want to get our asses beat by a Pac-10 team. Everybody wins.

It was initiated by Georgia and Georgia was the one worried about cross-country trips. Oregon was quite okay with the outcome in Knoxville. You're right, it was a mutual decision though. What a shame for both fanbases.

2004 USC only vacated two wins, I think.

2005 USC is 0-fer.
What would MSU be singing about? As far as I know it's not illegal to pay players, just unethical according to the NCAA.

So does this mean that W&L is full of crap after all?

Or was his supposed "newest post" just a fake?
Did ESPN actually say to stay tuned for an update?
