Has there ever been a coach who has done LESS with MORE than Jimbo Fisher?

He deserves every bit of criticism coming his way so Aggies - don’t even pretend to defend him. He has EVERYTHING at aTm - money, fan base, facilities, money, alumni support, top recruiting classes…did I mention MONEY?!?

5 yrs at aTm. Overall record 37-16. 22-13 in the SEC and 5-5 in his last 10 SEC matchups…about to be 5-6 (so…sub .500) after the beatdown in TTown.

The best thing he’s done at aTm since getting there is having his agent negotiate a 90 frickin million dollar buyout. So basically even if he shites the bed he’ll be rolling around in gold-laced sheets. Frick Jimbo.

Les Miles

In case you forgot!

Les Miles!

That 2005 and 2006 team was loaded. 2007 was a pretty good team also.

Saban wins three straight titles with that group!

I’ll give Miles credit for recruiting 2009, 2010 classes and producing 2011 team!

Good Lord did the man under achieve!

I know what you’re getting at, but Miles won a national championship, played for another, and three SEC championships. By no measure can you say Miles has done less than Fisher.

Idk, those Spurrier teams were always really good and Zook tanked them pretty quick after taking over despite recruiting well. Dude had 5 losses every year even if he'd win some big games here and there (2003 LSU). Seems pretty Jimbo-esque to me. Jimbo had a tougher job following Sumlin than Zook did following Spurrier.

Only difference is Florida admins cut bait quick when it was clear he wasn't the guy and didn't give him an absurd buyout.

The last roughly 40 years of Georgia coaches prior to Kirby.

Zook took bad losses that was his problem. But he put fear in the big boys.

For example 3 top 10 wins in a row. Including #4 Georgia and #6 LSU.

That 2006 team was FREAKING LOADED! Jimbo has never had a team close to that talent wise at aTm.

LSU should have went 2-3 straight years without losing a game! Spurrier freaking mocked Miles. Basically saying a monkey could win with the talent Saban left him.

I will say 2011 was spectacular until Miles got in the way late season! He did help to recruit those guys though!

And still end up with 5 losses on the season. If that's not doing less then idk what to call it.

Zook took over a Spurrier recruited squad that really was a system based squad. Spurrier would have had success with that team but not others. Now, what Zook left Urban was a gassed up Ferrari. Zook left the cupboard full.

Not arguing just saying it was a wild ride with the Zooker. Took 5 losses but beat 3 teams ranked in the top 10 and nearly the #3 team all in the same year.

Jimbo appears to be the type that cannot see his faults. I see why Jimbo's first marriage ended in a divorce. You can't stay with someone who never sees their faults.

If Jimbo is made to give up control of the offense who works for him? A good OC/play caller will quickly be on his way to a head coaching job if he has success at TAMU.

Maybe Dennis Franchione.
At Bama.

Don't know the talent level of A&M when he went there.
