And now you're about to hire a defensive coach who gave up 672 yards to us.

And his offense had a lot to do with that

His offense had a lot to do with his defense giving up an average of 7.7 yards per play and 450 yards passing to Blake Sims?

I'm confused.

If you can't beat them (on offense) then join them.

Saban has adjusted and will be putting up these kinds of numbers on offense regularly.

The question is can Gus develop a defense that can match Saban's offense, every week?

It's more of coaches figuring out Saban's Defense. Unfortunately he doesn't play but 1 or 2 quality offenses a year.

Check back in next season when your offense is gone (cooper) and the chance Auburn and A&M can get decent DCs.

Nice moral victory. Congrats.

But to seriously answer your questions, Saban decided there is no need to bother with trying to figure Gus's offense since Gus doesn't care about the other half of the game. Saban now knows you can easily just out score Auburn so no need to worry about their offense.

His defensive efforts will be better served focusing on other teams that pose more of a threat from here on out.

This

Why waste brain cells and effort trying to stop that offense when it would serve a better purpose adapting your own offense to out score teams like that?

After last year, so many folks said Saban was stuck in his ways and would never evolve and adapt to the new world of high scoring offenses we see today in college football. They said the game had passed him by..........

Your offense will be worse next year along with a terrible defense. Looks like another 3-9 season coming up.

Yes.

So did a few other schools too. You're finished in this town.

Both AU & Bama ended up 3-1 against those teams this year. I got nothing to complain about for the regular season, can you say the same?
