Has Deboer taught Keelon how to effectively pass when he is blitzed?

Kid didnt complete his first pass while under pressure until midway into the 3rd quarter.

Maybe that contributed to Bama losing in part?

You know Gunner was truly pressured just once on a pass and made the absolute dumbest decision it would be possible to make? He was really lucky the ball wasn’t cleanly intercepted. Luckily he has a really good OL giving him lots of clean pockets because under pressure, he looked like a guy in over his head.

Georgia fans are worried about a rematch with Keelon two months from now and it shows.

He made a couple of mistakes, but he also threw a few elite level passes, including one from near his own end zone on third and long that ended up sealing the game for them.

The game was like a perfect reversal of last season’s regular season game. Hopefully we’ll see each other again this year, because these two teams are good.

He was 7-13 for 119 yards and TD against the blitz.

Not terrible for his 6th start ever, considering he was playing a Smart/Schumann defense.

Prior to the UGA game:

Against Mississippi State:
When not blitzed: 8-11 (72.7%), 133, yds, 12.1 ypa, 1 TD, 0 INT

When blitzed: 8-11 (72.7%), 152 yards, 13.8, 2 TD, 0 INT

Last three games:
When not blitzed: 34-38 (89.5%), 632 yards, 16.6 ypa, 5 TD, 0 INT

When blitzed: 26-41 (63.4%), 343 yards, 8.4 ypa, 5 TD, 0 INT

As usual, OP has no clue what he's talking about.

He made some unbelievable throws but at the same time he barely completed over 50% of them. One that baffled me was the one where he threw it at the guys feet across the middle. He was afraid of taking the hit. He could have completed that pass, he had the guy but he rushed it and it was like he was trying to throw it away. With that being said he is a true freshmen and he will get past that with experience. He is going to be a hell of a qb to have to deal with the next couple of years.

If you've watched him play at all this year, you know he's not afraid of taking hits. But as a young QB playing in a game of that magnitude for the first time, he was probably scared of not getting rid of the ball fast enough and taking a sack. I think his composure in those situations will grow over time as he learns to feel the rush more and understand how much time he really has to throw the ball.

He has some bad footwork.

Not something that he had shown for several weeks.

I think it just took him a little longer than normal to settle in.

Hope he doesn’t learn between now and their trip to Baton Rouge

I enjoyed the game, but I believe Bama lost because of the sack after the missed PI. Exactly your point.

This. UGA fans can’t help but bark “200+ yards rushing!” and ”450 yard of offense!” but even with all that they were only able to score 20 points. You’d think they blew us out of the water. All that yardage and still could have easily lost that game. Embarrassing.

Personally, losing comes off as more embarrassing.

But you are free to do you.
Be happy you lost, I guess.

A td called back on a phantom holding, Phillips long run called back on a phantom hold. Russell's first td pass on a hold. Bama complaining about a PI can frick straight off with that bs. Russell completing 50% of his passes and all the yardage should leave one to question why was Bama still in that game? Either way Georgia walked out of your house with a win by their back ups and youngest team in college football.

Quit with this. It was way worse than the one UGAs have been linking. If that play is not a hold, then holding can never be called again.

Better yet, post a screenshot of the play. I know Dawg fans have been busy grabbing them because they feel the need to justify their win. Prove it big boy.

Losing to the big bad UGA football team with a first year starter in his 6th start should be more embarrassing than the big bad UGA football team only beating a first year QB in his 6th start by 3? Nah.

Like I said, the more UGA fans try to brag about it the worse it looks. Ya’ll were supposed to win. Ya’ll even said so.
