Where did I say anything about a missed pi?

Russell completing 50% of his passes and all the yardage should leave one to question why was Bama still in that game?

Exactly. With those stats and how big and bad UGA is why was Bama still in the game? Thought UGA was the best ever? How did they only win by three?

Quit with this. It was way worse than the one UGAs have been linking. If that play is not a hold, then holding can never be called again.

Better yet, post a screenshot of the play. I know Dawg fans have been busy grabbing them because they feel the need to justify their win. Prove it big boy.

The touchdown run was a hold.

The other holding call was BS. It was literally a legal knockdown. But when players fall/flop, those bad calls happen too.

Losing to the big bad UGA football team with a first year starter in his 6th start should be more embarrassing than the big bad UGA football team only beating a first year QB in his 6th start by 3? Nah.

I read 59 posts before the game from Bama fans expecting the same thing.

One of them was you?

Well, you pretty clearly called it a phantom hold. Maybe you can understand my consternation.

?? ?? ?? ?? Bama lost at home. End of story. However being the most insufferable crybabies in the SEC we will all have to hear about the PI for years as if there were not also bs calls against and no calls that affected Georgia. One literally affected an actual td and not just a first down where we dont know what could have happened. However at the end of the day all the Bama fans crying wont change the fact you lost.

I didn’t post that but if you’re asking if I thought we’d perform better the answer is yes. But, again, given who our QB is I’m not surprised at our performance. But that’s not the question at hand here. Georgia has done nothing but beat their chest since the game ended spewing stats and telling anyone who will listen how great they are.Yet they only won by 3, and just as easily could have lost. So, how can a team be that great, obtain all that yardage, and barely squeak out a win to a team they claim is so beneath them?

Again, I haven’t once mentioned penalties. It’s almost as if UGA fans think that somehow the penalties, or lack there of, some how discredits their win so they have to defend them at every turn? I’m a believer that if it comes down to a penalty to decide the game you didn’t handle business somewhere else. You have to control the controllable.

That was his first big game. I’ll cut him some slack. He won’t be around 5-6 years like Georgia quarterbacks.

Keelon is inexperienced, but very talented and a good kid. He’ll get there, and probably make you cry before it’s over.

So you are disappointed.

In the coaches?
Or players?

I dont see UGA fans belittling the crimson tide football team.
They are belittling the Alabama football fans. Like you.

The ones who complain about penalties.
The ones who complain about injuries.
The ones who throw trash at players.
The ones who call an opposing player "boy".
The ones who call for their coaches head because their own personal identity and happiness has been wrapped up in the concrete notion that for 13 years that they never lose to Georgia. And when that faltered in the national championship game, it got bastardized by fans that they never lose in the regular season (wtf).

The Alabama football team isn't beneath us.
But there is a huge swath of Walmart fans that do not know ball.

Not at all, I’ve seen my team win numerous championships. More than any one else actually. What most UGA fans are doing however isn’t from excitement. It’s seeking for validation. Maybe from themselves or other fans. I’m not sure which. The part of the post you pulled is out of context. Maybe it was intentional. Maybe not. In the context intended, that comment was meant to illustrate how UGA fans claim to be all world because they beat Alabama and even post stats to prove it. Yet the very stats they post show that they should have won by a much larger margin. But they didn’t.

quote:

That’s the point you’re missing though. You’re not belittling us. Or me. UGA was supposed to win that game. You had the seasoned QB. You have better lines on both sides of the ball. You can’t belittle someone when the outcome was what it should have been. You can think you’re the smartest guy in the room and post stats in an attempt to gloat but at the end of the day, you were still supposed to win that game. And you did. But barely. To a team that by the UGA fans own admission they feel is so below them. That they have far surpassed. Yet you only won by 3 points. This all world team that you all have been trying to convince everyone you are, nearly lost to the team that you all want so badly to think you’re so much greater than.

Strange. You started out speaking of the play on the field and have now shifted to the character of some of the fans. Maybe the realization of why only winning by 3 isn’t a flex is starting to sink in. It seems there are some personal anger issues present within you as well. You list this long tirade about “Walmart Bama fans” as a reasoning for the gloating. You seem to be of the mindset that only Bama fans have their share of “bad apples”.

I want to focus on this comment specifically.

As I said early, the reason a lot of people don’t see UGA as being the top dog (I personally feel they are for the record) is this right here. The constant seeking for validation. Who cares what a lot of the Bama fans said? You just won a national championship and you’re still concerned with what Bama is saying. Georgia, their fans more than anything, want to be thought of as the Bama teams during the dynasty. But you’re not. No one probably will ever be for a long time. That’s why it was one of, if not the, greatest dynasty in not just football but the history of sports. As you said, us fans, like me, knew Bama was great. We didn’t have to seek out being told on a message board.

Are you confusing me with someone else?

I commented about some lazy footwork by Keelon on Saturday. It happened.

I complimented him that the poor footwork hadn't showed up for several weeks. The implication is that he is working hard to improve. And the issue is not a long term concern.

And as for the character of the fans, you either own the Walmart crew. Or speak up when they are idiots and try to correct their behavior.

quote:

UGA was supposed to win

You do realize that the spread opened UGA -2.5.
You try to downplay the loss as inevitable. But you know that no Alabama truly felt that way before the game.
Have you ever read Aesop's sour grapes?

quote:

You are easily confused.
You agreed earlier that fans gloat after wins.
Belittling has nothing to do with the wins. It has everything to do with the "muh penalties" fans.

Bama fans lack self awareness.
Do you honestly disagree?

Possibly. Sorry if so.

Not sure how you expect a group of fans on a LSU message board to control 10’s of thousands of fans in a stadium that they don’t even know. I support the condemnation of it though of that helps?

It opened with Georgia being the favorites. It only moved when bets started coming in. At game time it was -2.5 Georgia though. I think you’re letting a few arrogant fans give you the wrong impression. Most thought we COULD win. Majority probably spoke positively to the idea of it, but I don’t think you’d find many who were truly confident that we’d win.

I think you’re the one who is confused. Our entire interaction started by your comment saying:

Personally, losing comes off as more embarrassing.

But you are free to do you.
Be happy you lost, I guess.

Yet now you’re saying that belittling has nothing to do with the wins. Those statement sort of contradict themselves. So it would appear that you are the one who lacks self awareness. Do you not agree?
