I hope the judge lambasts him on that point alone. How can he make or sign off on legal decisions on something without even knowing the NCAA guidance?

The lawsuit filed this morning alleges that the SEC rules are in compliance with the NCAA bylaws. This is obviously incorrect based upon his own testimony today.

It doesn't matter. He's enforcing the SEC's rule that was implemented after a 15-0 vote.

SEC rules do not override injunctions handed down by the state courts of member institutions. It’s also really hard for him to ban a “professional” player when he can’t define what that means.
5 for 5 does matter because the SEC follows NCAA rules. The head of the conference literally laid out the case that he is incompetent and incapable of understanding and applying NCAA and SEC rules in his testimony today.

The SEC rule in question is based upon five for five according to the lawsuit filed this morning. The SEC cannot be a member of the NCAA and declare someone in eligible who is eligible under the NCAA bylaws. That is the whole purpose of being a member of the NCAA.
