Mr. Downton: Mr. Sankey, you’ve testified that the SEC follows all NCAA by-laws and incorporates them into your conference’s by-laws, which I appreciate, but did I just hear you say that as the SEC Commissioner, you don’t know what the current NCAA 5 for 5 bylaws that took effect 8/1/26 actually say?
Answer: I don’t. It’s the first time I’ve seen this new manual.

That is INSANE. Imagine not knowing anything about the rules you are trying to enforce.
If SEC operates under NCAA bylaws, would that mean that previous professional athletes playing for a college in the SEC should not have been eligible to start with?

This thread will not get traction because it goes against the board narrative that Stanley is going to kick LSU out. That testimony basically sealed his fate with the court, by him not knowing the reason for all of this.
