offense-F, should be able to push around an FCS team but didn't plus 3 turnovers, ugh
defense- B- yes it was North Alabama but compared to a year ago when everyone was running free it's a marked improvement
special teams-C nothing great but not a disaster either.

Offense - D-
Defense - C+
Special Teams - D
I think those are generous grades. At times, Byrum Brown and Cobb showed promise for the offense. But stalled drives, miscues, and poor OL play dogged that side of the ball. Secondary played pretty slippery defensively, but I think we’ll be alright on that side.

Offense: A-
Defense: looked better overall but hard to say how much against a weaker opponent
Special Teams: Ok, nothing special
Overall, Faizon has a lot of potential and the defense looked more aggressive

LSU
Offense A: 600 plus yards, 300 running 300 passing. Unstoppable by the third drive
Defense A: Clemson had less than 100 yards and 3 first downs until we put the third string in mid 4th quarter. I think Clemson’s only plays on LSU’s side of the 50 vs starters were when the started on our side after the early interception
Special Teams B: hard to say. Made a 49 yard FG but missed another from similar distance. No dropped punts but nothing much from return game but really didnt need anything. Covered kicks well.

Defense: very good and even improved, so A-

Offense B (ran the ball yay, Beers at TE is good at football)
Defense B- (too many missed tackles early, got lucky with shoutout due to missed FGs and either bad throw or dropped balls)
Special Teams A+ (UTEP punter out kicked his coverage but 6 is 6 and almost had 2 of them. Tate Sandell is best K in CFB)

Hard to judge against the competition, but I'll give it a shot:
Offense - Simmons looked electric. Pass blocking very good. Run blocking hit or miss, but improved in the 2nd quarter. Last minute injury to a top line starter forced some adjustments. Wide receivers ran free, Olubidae needs to up his ball security. Nice to see the tight ends involved, vastly improved between the hashs. The 2s held their own, big drop when the 3s came in. B+
Defense - The first string held PB to something like 6 total yards in the 1st half, despite pure vanilla play calling. Back ups looked slow and sloppy in the 3rd, then tightened up in the 4th. Still pure vanilla. Little to no stunts or blitzs. Lane discipline was good, safeties much improved, corners fast but need to look for the ball more. LBs may be the class of the conference, but hard to tell in this instance. B-
Special Teams. Vast improvement over last year. Blake Craig was money, punter was solid, good lane discipline on coverages. Opposition again makes judgement hard, but I'll say B.
Kansas will tell us a lot more.

Offense - A
Very clearly Stein’s bread and butter and Minchey looks incredibly solid.
Defense - B-
Concerned about the strength on the DL. Secondary should be better with more folks available next week.
Special Teams - A
Didn’t give up anything big. Recovered a muffed return. Solid.

Offense - B passing game decent, could improve. Run game excellent.
Defense - A, I literally can't think of a bad play
Special teams - C+ missed a FG. Caught 10 punts, no returns. Kickoff out of bounds.
