Quinn has been inconsistent since his oblique injury, our o-line is Jekyll & Hyde when it comes to run blocking, we have 1 weak link at CB and our kicker has the yips. It is perfectly rational to think Texas will lose.

It is f***ing idiotic to think Texas has no chance.

Am I the only one who thinks UGA totally dominates ND? Posted by SemperFiDawg 12/30/24 at 4:26 pm If I'm wrong I'm gonna be spectacularly wrong, but I think we dominate both lines of scrimmage, get a comfortable lead, and suffocate them the last quarter to quarter and a half.

Did you get this guy’s opinion? He nailed the UGA/ND game.

Nah. Texas dicked around in the second half in the Big House. Played a great first half and then got conservative.

But if you're way up you can do that. OSU was like that against TN and Oregon in reality

I think it's setting up just like it did when our boys beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl a few years back.

Hmm. But Georgia didn't care about winning that game.

Do you think Ohio State cares?

Maybe they don't.

I believe this is going to be a dogfight and will be a hard fought physical game. Sark is playing the underdog roll and all Texas is hearing is how good Ohio State is. I think Texas comes out with a chip on their shoulders and the Longhorns will be ready to battle.

This game is for the natty. And, for once, I don’t mind coming in as the underdog. In fact, I’d rather that be the case.

Agreed, I don't think it will be close either.

I don't think Ohio State gets the initial surge they've enjoyed in other games against Texas Defense, and that is going to mess with their mentality and make it a dog fight and a close game.

Texas D is legit. But, as I've learned from 2019 LSU, 2020 Bama, and 2022 OSU, even the nastiest D can't fully stop an offense when it's clicking like this OSU team.

Texas will need to score a lot of points if they want to beat Ryan Day & Chip Kelly

Everything points to tOSU beating Texas. They have an offense that is rolling and a defense that is playing stingy. That being said, they beat 2 very flawed teams. Tennessee has been riddled with holes all season, and Oregon's defense was not good (let up 30+ to BSU, Penn, and tOSUx2).

Will Howard has had a clean pocket for both playoff games and he's been able to throw to his first read just about every time. Texas' game plan will be to get pressure and take away his first read.

That being said, Texas has to score points to win. tOSU's defense reminds me of Georgia's (We all saw how Texas looked offensively against them). I guess playing Georgia twice may be a blessing in disguise, hopefully Sark figured something out. tOSU likes to run a 3 high look, something the Sark offense has struggled with, pair that with the best defense statistically against the outside zone (Texas' main run play) it's not a recipe for success.

Texas ranks in the 100's in redzone offense, and tOSU is one of the best redzone defenses in the country. Pair that with Texas' FG struggles, this game has the potential to get ugly.

That being said, I think this game is close and low scoring. Texas needs 100+ on the ground or be +2 in turnover margin to win.

I think TX finally plays a full 60 minutes

When they say these things it always makes me laugh. Why would anyone thing Texas would finally play a full 60 minutes in week 16 when they haven't all year. It's not just going to pop out of nowhere.

Texas has good offensive and defensive lines and this will make this a game! It is i going to come down to QB play and the line of scrimmage.

I feel Texas will suprise. Tennessee's offense just was too easy to make one dimensional. Texas athletes can actually make you pay for cheating.

That being said hard to pick vs Ohio State. I just don't think it will be a run away type game.

Normally, I would pull for an SEC team. However, I hate Texas, Sark, Ewers, and McConaughey... I think Ohio State will castrate them metaphorically speaking and turn them into short horns.

With Will Howard throwing dimes to those WR's, especially megatron 2.0, its a foregone conclusion.

Serious response (not trolling, etc.) but I think actually Texas comes out and wins big.

And everyone is going to be wondering "dang, how did we get so hoodwinked" and then everyone will be kicking themselves for "should have known a tiger doesn't change it's stripes with Ryan Day and tOSU" and there will probably be some sour grape referre/conspiracy rumblings from little brother types.

I truly think Texas eats and wins by double digits. I'm putting my money and time where my mouth is at least and bringing the family to the game.

OSU is just playng too well right now. Even if Texas comes out ready to play and is relishing the underdog mentality, OSU is at another level. Texas defense keeps them in it for a while but OSU makes to many big plays

OSU 31
Texas 17
