Your most played opponents are Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tulane, Alabama, and Florida in that order. Auburn is all the way down at 9.
You have your #2 most played opponent. Alabama and Auburn aren’t going to get LSU along with their two actual historical rivals.
You’re such a whiny baby and can’t even correctly identify your “natural” rivals. They should’ve also gave you Mississippi State to be more “natural”. You might’ve lost your mind.

Alabama wasn't going to be given the gauntlet of Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU and Auburn wasn't going to be given the gauntlet of Alabama, UGA, and LSU.
Florida and LSU could have been maintained as a permament rivalry because I'm not aware if any deep rivalry-type history between Florida and USCe or Kentucky, but LSU probably would have had to give up Ole Miss to get Florida because giving Arkansas to USCe or Kentucky would be even more forced than what LSU has right now.
All in all, I think the SEC did a pretty good job of balancing the permanent rivals for everyone.

It would be much improved without the likes of Texas, TAMU, Mizzou, OU. So there's that.
Hey, maybe Texas could launch its own network or something...

The point is that this conference and the Big 10, so-called, are unwieldy. That is the long and the short of it. It's absurd.

Men of the rant,
Like clockwork, the mizzybilt poster brigade wants to weigh in on SEC football.
They haven’t won a conference since Nixon was president.
Shut up and sit down.

I disagree.
I'm perfectly happy giving up yearly games against Missouri, Vandy, Kentucky and Tennessee while keeping Florida, Auburn and South Carolina in order to play every team in the conference twice in every 4 year stretch.
That includes playing interesting opponents twice in a 4 year window like Alabama, LSU, Texas and Oklahoma. That goes along with playing those old division opponents twice every 4 years.
I see it as a huge win for UGA.
The 3 permanent opponents (as opposed to 6) is a win for UGA.
The 9th conference game is a bust, though.
I'd rather free schedule OOC with Notre Dame, Clemson, Oregon than get an extra shot at Vandy/Miss St/Arkansas/etc..

I don’t think so let us swap AU for LSU for the next five years and compare the ratings attendance with attendance tailgating.
It wouldn’t be close.

I like no permanents...every years's a crap shoot.
year 1 9 teams
year 2 4 of the same teams year 1..just swap home sites and 5 new teams
year 3 4 of the same teams as year 2....swap again and add in 5 more new teams.
year 4,,,rinse and repeat.

That's because Ole Miss sucks and has no loyalty to tradition.
How many teams does Ole Miss have a winning record against? How many teams is the series win/loss even competitive?

Disagree completely, it has been the dirty little secret that the good teams have often not played each other often. With this set up, you play 3 rivals, 2 of which are normally "real" rivals. Then you play every other team in a two year period, which is more often that you played many of the teams before.

Are perms were pretty brutal...so I am good with it. UGA, Tenn, LSU, Kentucky, Auburn. Any of the 5 I would be happy.

You're a bit triggered there, buddy. I think you protest too much. A&M has the third most wins in the West since it entered, and it was one of the few teams who wasnt scared of Bama.
Now tell me about hose great teams of the East the last 10 years!

Fayetteville, AR and Gainesville, FL are pretty much the same distance from BR. Give me the Florida game over the boring arse Arky game any day of the week.

The playing field is pretty level there's no more hiding behind a weak schedule ..there are none

All they had to do was reevaluate who everyone's 7 games were. For instance, we never should've had A&M and Missouri annually. That shite was dumb.
