No f’ing clue. Our passing game will be elite. The defense should be better. No idea other than those generic things

I replied. If someone thinks I'm too optimistic or pessimistic, I'll listen.

I have no clue. It all depends on how the QB (Ty Simpson) performs and the offensive line which was supposed to be dominant the past two years but wasn't. My gut tells me 9-3, but heck, it could go south and they could be 8-4 or things could go great and they could be 11-1. The talent is there the coaching staff just needs to start earning their pay.

The game @UGA is going to tell a lot. They should take a step back this year, we should be poised to take a step forward, and we've had their number since what feels like the dawn of time. Win that one and we might be in for a pretty special season.
...of course we beat them last year and then proceeded to lay a massive egg, so what do I know?

Mizzou will end up being ranked higher than LSU at the end of the season.
With that bullshite schedule ya'll lucked into, you don't have any excuse, but still doubtful.

Yeah, we know. Your newfound, obsessive little brother syndrome is pathetic, and duly noted.

According to the reports coming out of their camp from outsiders who get to attend practices and scrimmages, they're not taking a step back. Their biggest question mark is going to be QB. According to those who have attended practice and scrimmages, their defense is going to be very salty, especially the defensive line. Granted, it's not going to be what it was when they won the NC, but it apparently is going to be very good. The SEC will be stacked this season with a lot of good teams. I don't know if there will be any truly "great" teams, but the depth this season should be deeper than it has been in years.

I would bet the under also. I'm very, very pessimistic regarding Bobo. The offense fell off a cliff last year, especially in running the ball and catching the ball. One could make the argument it's the players, but ultimately the OC is responsible no matter how you dice it. The fall off from Monken was worse than I ever foresaw. This coming from a once loyal Bobo apologist.
Seriously what happened to their skill position guys last season? They have talent at WR and TE every year but they looked like they all had stone hands
I hope the Jugs machines have gotten a lot of work from the WRs at UGA this offseason

If we stay healthy and all of the bad mojo turns into good mojo this year???? 9-3, but we won't and the football gods are mad.... so 8-5. With win 8 coming in the who gives a crap bowl. BV gets fired and we set ourselves back another 5 years....

Auburn will beat one over ranked team. Come close in a couple of games v. highly ranked teams but shite the bed at the end because of bone head plays and really dumb coaching. Blow out a couple of mid tier teams but then lose to a horribly shitty team and come close v. another shitty team. Finish towards the bottom 1/4 of the SEC maybe make a bowl game in Nashville or Birmingham.

I think 9-3 is doable in the regular season with a possible 10th win coming with the bowl game. If OU can get to 5-0 going into the RRS, then all they need to do is go 4-3 to get to that mark.
Ceiling is 10-2 in the regular season

1) Bowers and McConkey went to NFL.
2) The one's who remained regressed. How one forgets how to catch a ball is beyond me, but it happened and it was both contagious and rampant.

Six win ceiling. Smart money in the under and Sam is fired.
The goal this year is to get a good hire. Maybe either promote Bobby (not a fan of this myself) or go get Lashlee from SMU or someone else.

I am a Texas A&M fan. 8-4 is always a reasonable projection.

Yes, 8-4 with this schedule, defense, and running game would mean that the QB position was an utter failure. Given what Heupel has done before and quality of the roster, any reasonable person would agree 8-4 would be an epic failure.
8-4/7-5ish is our floor in my mind because of all the things you listed in the first part of your post. Even if we have bad QB play that is not just achievable, but should be an expectation.
Our floor isn't a failure when you have multiple starters on defense (including a first round pick), multiple starters on the OL, the QB, our top 3 WRs, and the SEC offensive player of the year at RB leave. Its just our floor, and its our floor because of how productive Heupel's system has been despite various challenges each of the years he has been here and how productive the defense is.
7-5 is a disappointment maybe bordering on failure territory. At 8-4 I'm feeling pretty neutral on the season. Anything over that and I think they've done a pretty good job given the circumstances.
