I hope Bama makes it to the sweet 16 in Louisville, if so I'm going to try to get tics for their game there

Dude Birmingham deserves some kudos for uptown and Citywalk. Those areas are very nice.
It is nice, but the City Walk area was way under utilized yesterday. They have a food truck area and a beer garden, neither of which were used. With people there all day, some options outside the arena and Uptown would have been nice. Food trucks did get burned with World Games, so that may have had something To do with it. Perhaps even the NCAA limits what can be done.
Supposedly Cahaba Brewing is setting up somewhere Saturday.

Very cool for basketball in the state.
It really is. My 8 year old has decided he loves basketball so we have been to a couple games in Auburn, and a bunch of JSU and high school games in the area because it's cheap and not far away.
I wanted to get to Bham really bad to take him yesterday, but just couldn't make it work with my schedule at work right now. If I can find some tickets today sometime, I'm gonna splurge and take him tomorrow. I didn't realize that the NCAA tourney had not been back to Bham in 15 years.

Agree - they did a great job there. I was laughing with my dad that the last time I was under 20/59 was as a kid with him in the mid-90s parking and getting on a bus to go to Legion Field for some 1130 Jeff Pilot game against Southern Miss or Vandy.
A lot nicer down there now

A lot of people were working yesterday. Tomorrow should be a crazier scene with people being off and able to let loose.

Cheaper than a baseVOLs game, lol

Yea I thought the arena was nice, twice as much room in the seats/foot area than at Coleman, beer lines weren't too bad, soft drink/candy/hot dog lines looked long but it was really crowded too. Not much you can do at some point.

Almost all of the local food trucks have lunchtime hours during the week.
I had a great time yesterday and don’t mean to be a Debby downer. I was just expecting a little more outside the arena in the newly developed CityWalk, especially with a break between sessions.

Mobile needs to get its act together and renovate its civic center

Buddy of mine just sold 4 for $300/each. Upper deck. Insane prices

How's the venue? I've never been to Legacy Arena before
Not bad. It’s definitely nicer since they did some renovations a few years back.
My tix for this weekend are thankfully in the first few rows up the upper deck, but some of the seats near the top are extremely high and far away to watch basketball. I would not pay the $300 that is the current price for those seats.
Concession lines are extremely long. They could afford to figure out how to speed those up. But overall, decent venue

Legacy is a really really good mid-tier arena now. They did a great job with it. Concessions are average at best, but besides that, it really is a great arena.

Is that before or after the 450 dollar charge from ticketmaster?
I laughed

I'm not sure the first few rows upstairs are not better than the endzones downstairs. You are good ways off in the endzone, the angle is better up top (in the first few rows).

Yeah, Auburn really deserves a game in their backyard.

You seem to have a solid knowledge of trailer rent market rates, so I guess I will just have to trust you.

As a realtor and owner of rental properties I should have a solid knowledge of rents and home sales

I can't find tickets less than 250 a piece. Not sure I want to pay that. But I'm going to Birmingham tomorrow just to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy it. Guess we'll watch the game at one of the bars nearby.
