Ole Miss will have a tune up game to warm them up. In this scenario, Ole Miss playing a G5 team actually benefits them giving their situation.

This is a BIG deal. Traditionally even elite teams have looked flatter than the beer at a political rally in the first half of bowl games from time to time. UGA did it last year against Notre Dame, with some extenuating circumstances that hopefully aren't replicated in New Orleans this time around (Kirby's Dad, terrorist attack).

UGA has, however, looked damned good after a long layoff in bowl games. 2017 Rose Bowl and 2021 Orange Bowl are good examples. If they do not come out flat and lethargic they beat Ole Miss in a close one of blow Tulane out of their backyard.

As an Ole Miss fan I can assure you that UGA is the toughest out in the field.

They are the most complete team in the entire field.

This is true. Arch was playing like hot garbage the first two games and has crawled his way back into the media talking about him as if he were a headman hopeful again by the time they played Georgia. Georgia played a much better Texas team than OSU did.

Beating an injured one dimensional bama team isn’t a tough task.

Hey bro....UGA was banged up in that game as well, including missing our starting center. We had 3 starters, including our best LB (CJ Allen) playing hurt. Bama is NOT a bad team. Just imagine what we can do at full strength.

It’s the playoffs. I have zero expectations. And I never thought it looked easy.

I don’t think anyone has said UGA has a easy path

The brackets are more evenly split this year compared to last. They kind of fricked the SEC though which is to be expected. I think A&M, Bama/OU have the toughest path to the title game

they do not match up well against Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, and Texas Tech

I like the troll posts for sure.

So they don't match up great with the other "best" 4 teams going into the playoffs? Do the other 4 teams match up great with them?

OSU just showed they can have issues with stunts and such and Kirby isn't going to ignore that tape if they play each other. Indiana is a good solid team but they just lost their best DE to injury and I'm not sure if their 2nd WR is playing. Tech is a complete unknown as they blew through a really bad conference. Oregon is good but hasn't really proven they are great either.

I think right now the favorite has to be in the OSU/UGA side of the bracket with a mixture of talent and coaches having done it before

TBH, after all the big games & finally beating Bama so soundly to win the SECCG, it's already been a dream season. Losing in the CFP would be a bummer but very hard to complain about this team.

They have a common opponent. I would imagine Georgia dismantling the same team OSU kind of struggled with would give most people the idea that they’re on mostly even footing at least.

It’s UGA, IU, or OSU in my opinion.

It would be disappointing for sure. But I would still be proud of the season they have had. They never ever quit

LOL @ The Vols. They aren't even very good at basketball this year, let alone football. I guess you are a rugby school now chump

Maybe, but UGA was better in Nov than they were Labor Day, as is OSU
